• Drinking alcohol for a long time is the biggest cause of liver cirrhosis and ultimately cancer. Reducing or quitting alcohol protects the liver.
• Reduce fried, sugar and high fat foods. Control your weight, walk for 30 minutes daily so that fatty liver does not form.
• Hepatitis B/C is spread through unsafe needles or contaminated blood, which later causes cancer.
• If you already have hepatitis, alcoholism, fatty liver or cirrhosis, get your liver checked every 6–12 months.
