The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is preparing to launch a Block-2 Bluebird Communication Satellite weighing 6,500 kg of Texas based AST Spacemobile in the next few months. This is a major step in global satellite communication as this satellite will directly deliver broadband connectivity to mobile, that is, there will no longer be required for a tower or terminal. ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan recently reported that the Block-2 Bluebird Satellite is expected to reach India by September 2025 and the launch may take place within three to four months. This will be one of the heaviest international commercial loads of ISRO. This service has come after the success of the US-NISAR Mission, which has further strengthened Indo-Ass Space Relations.

Bluebird block-2 The deployable communication of about 2,400 sq ft (about 240 square meters) is in which it will be the largest commercial satellite ever in the Leo (Low Earth Orbit). It will directly deliver broadband to mobiles in the US through 5,600 covering cells. It can achieve pick data speed up to 120 Mbps and supports voice, data and videos all.

This satellite will be launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center with ISRO’s most powerful launch vehicle, LVM3 (first GSLV-MK III). The launch Q4 is expected between 2025 (August to December) and will be done under NSIL (NewsPace India Limited).
