Important news has come out for lakhs of students across the country. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a big update regarding the class 10th and 12th board examinations to be held in the year 2026. The board has changed the dates of examinations of some subjects proposed to be held on March 3, 2026. In this regard, CBSE has issued a notification on its official website cbse.gov.in and informed the students and parents.

According to CBSE, due to administrative reasons, the dates of the examinations which were earlier to be held on March 3, 2026, have been revised. Class 10th examination will now be conducted on 11 March 2026. The new date of 12th exam has been fixed as 10th April 2026.

The board has also clarified that apart from these subjects, all other examinations will be conducted as per the already decided schedule.

Information reached to students and parents

CBSE has appealed to all the affiliated schools to convey the information about this change to the students and their parents in time. The board has assured that the revised datesheet will be released soon, which will contain complete details of the new exam dates. Not only this, the changed dates will also be updated in the admit cards of the students.

Board exams will be held in a single shift

At the same time, there has been a partial change in the examination time of some selected subjects, whose examination will be conducted from 10:30 am to 12:30 noon.

When will the exams be held?

CBSE has made it clear that the examinations of all other subjects will be held as per the already decided schedule. The dates of only these few subjects have been changed. CBSE’s 10th and 12th board exams will be held from February to April. Some papers of 10th will now be held on 11th March and 12th Legal Studies exam will be held on 10th April.

As board exams approach, the study pressure on students starts increasing. Long syllabus, lack of time and worry about getting good marks often put children under stress. Many students keep studying for hours without stopping, so that they can memorize as much as possible. But education and health experts believe that this method is not right. By studying excessively and continuously, the brain gets tired and there is difficulty in remembering what has been read.

Experts say that during studies, the mind also wants rest like the body. If he does not get rest from time to time, his ability to work reduces. This is why experts advise students to take a break of at least ten minutes after studying for an hour. This short break refreshes the mind and helps in concentrating on the next studies.

Keep distance from social media

Students are advised to stay away from mobile phones or social media during breaks. During this period, the eyes and brain do not get proper rest. It would be better if students take a walk for a while, close their eyes and take deep breaths or do light stretching. This brings freshness to the body and also keeps the mind calm. Some experts say that listening to your favorite music or drinking water during breaks can also be beneficial.

Along with studies, it is also very important to pay attention to diet. Often during board exams, students either skip food or become more dependent on junk food. Experts believe that a proper and balanced diet is very important for brain health. Fruits, green vegetables, pulses, milk and dry fruits give energy to the brain and improve memory. At the same time, eating too much fried and outside food can increase lethargy and fatigue.

What did the experts say?

Experts say that studying continuously and for a long time makes the brain tired quickly, which affects the ability to remember. Dr. Arpita Kulshrestha, physician at Medanta Hospital, advises students to take a break of at least 10 minutes after every hour of studying, so that the mind can rest. Along with this, it is also very important to take a healthy and balanced diet, because proper nutrition keeps both the body and mind strong. Experts believe that by taking rest, good sleep and nutritious food at the right time, students can reduce exam stress to a great extent.

As the examination season approaches across the country, fear and stress begin to creep into the minds of millions of students. This fear is not new nor unusual. Every student sometimes feels nervous about exams. But experts say that if studies are done with proper planning and calm mind instead of stress, then results are better and self-confidence also increases.

According to experts, the most important thing at the time of examination is to avoid overthinking. Repeatedly thinking about what will happen, whether marks will come or not, comparing with others, all these things affect studies. Students should focus only on their subjects and study by setting daily targets.

Take special care of sleep and daily routine

Rinki Lakra, a clinical psychiatrist in UP, says that sleep plays a very important role in exam preparation. Students must take complete sleep of 6 to 8 hours daily. The habit of staying awake till late night and studying should be avoided. Along with this, it is important to decide the time of sleeping and waking up, so that both body and mind remain in balance.

Distance from mobile, friendship with books

He told that in today’s time mobile has become the biggest problem. Excessive use of mobile distracts attention during exam preparation. Students should reduce screen time and give priority to books instead of mobile for studies. Staying away from social media and games increases focus in studies.

Important role of parents and teachers

Rinki Lakra said that the behavior of parents and teachers towards children at the time of examination matters a lot. Experts say that putting too much pressure on children weakens their morale. Parents should encourage their children, talk to them openly and assure them that exams are not everything.

Stay away from comparison, move at your own pace

Every child is different and his abilities are also different. Comparison with other children increases stress. Students should study at their own pace. Divide all the subjects into a fixed routine and study them regularly.

If you don’t understand, don’t hesitate to seek help.

If there is difficulty in understanding any subject or topic, then instead of remaining silent, one should seek help from teacher, parents or friends. Asking questions is not a sign of weakness, but of intelligence. Removing doubts in time increases self-confidence.

It is also important to handle emotions

It is normal to have emotional ups and downs at the time of examination. It is not wrong to feel fear, nervousness or sadness, but it is important to handle them properly. Sharing your thoughts with a trusted person reduces stress.

An important news has come out for the students and parents studying in West Bengal. West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has announced major changes in the summer holidays of 2026. Whereas usually children used to get a long summer break in May-June, now the duration of holidays has been reduced to only 6 days. The board says that this decision has been taken to balance the academic session and reduce study pressure. According to the new guidelines, now the summer break will be from May 11 to May 17 only. According to the WBBSE Board, this decision will reduce the study pressure on children and will not harm them academically.

Summer vacation reduced from 11 days to 6 days

Taking a big decision, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has reduced the summer vacation available to students from 11 days to 6 days. This decision will be applicable to every school recognized by the board. There is a lot of mixed reaction on this. The board says that the total holidays for the year have to be kept within a certain limit, due to which the summer holidays have been reduced.

You will get 25 consecutive days long leave on festivals

In West Bengal, even though this time the board has reduced the summer holidays from 11 days to only 6 days, there is also a good news for students and teachers. The board has made a big increase in holidays during festivals. This time there will be a long holiday of 25 consecutive days on big festivals like Durga Puja, Kali Puja and Bhaiphonta. This means that holidays may be less in the summer season but there will be plenty of rest during festivals. This change has brought relief to all, students, parents and school staff. The long festival break will not only provide mental rest but will also increase the opportunity to spend time with family.

Supplementary sheet closed in 12th board exam

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has taken many other big decisions, under which it has completely stopped giving supplement sheets in the 12th class board examination to be held in the year 2026. That means now students will not get any extra sheet i.e. supplement sheet during the examination. Now students will have to give their answers in the given answer sheet only.

on copies Signature Mandatory

West Bengal Board has implemented a new rule this year to make the examination process more strict and transparent. Now the signature of the examiner or invigilator will be mandatory on the last page of the answer sheet of every student. If this signature is not found on any copy then the answer sheet may be considered invalid. With this rule, the possibilities of changing copies, adding pages or errors in testing will be reduced and students will get marks in a fair manner.

The date for class 10th and 12th examination has been released by CBSE Board. Board exams will start from 17 February 2026. In such a situation, it is natural for most of the students to feel stressed and nervous, but if you study with the right routine and strategy, then it is absolutely possible to get good marks. Let us know how to study smart, manage time and eat right, so that you can perform brilliantly in the board exams.

Understand the exam pattern

To get success in any examination, it is very important to understand its pattern. Verify the question papers of CBSE board exams from previous years’ exams. For the preparation of any exam, it is very important to make a daily routine in which morning time should be kept for theory and memorizing subjects because the brain is more active at that time. Read numerical or practical topics in the afternoon and concentrate only on revision at night. Take a break after every 45-50 minutes so that the mind remains fresh. Try to set a small target for every day, such as finishing two chapters today or solving ten questions. In this way, small targets are achieved. By doing this, confidence will increase and preparation will also become stronger.

Pay special attention to smart study

Study smart means you focus on the right topics and understand the type of questions that will come in the exam. Practice old sample papers and previous years’ papers to get familiar with the pattern. Cover difficult topics first and make a list of important formulas and definitions of each unit. Prepare short notes in your notebook for quick revision before the exam.

Take special care of diet and sleep

According to experts, it is very important to be healthy for good preparation. Avoid junk food, excess tea or coffee and drink as much water as possible. Include fruits, salad, curd, dry fruits and light nutritious food in your diet. Take at least seven hours of sleep at night so that both your body and mind can rest. A tired body or a sleepy mind can never focus, hence taking care of your diet is as important as studying.

Make your confidence your strength

It is normal to be nervous during exams, but it is most important to have confidence in yourself. Students who work hard regularly with positive thinking can overcome any challenge. A planned routine, proper eating habits and smart revision are the keys to your success. Hard work always pays off. Just maintain confidence and prepare with all your heart. You will definitely get success.

Important news has come out regarding the Uttar Pradesh Board’s 10th and 12th board examinations to be held in 2026. It is being told that this time a total of 52 lakh 30 thousand 297 students including both the classes will appear for the exam. Of these, 27 lakh 50 thousand 945 students have registered in high school (10th) and 24 lakh 79 thousand 352 students have registered in intermediate (12th). These figures were released by UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh on Tuesday (October 29). The surprising thing is that compared to last year, this time the number of candidates has decreased by about 2 lakhs. Apart from this, the number of examination centers is also expected to decrease.

Registration date extended several times

Let us tell you that UP Board is the largest examination board in the country. The registration process for its 10th and 12th examinations started in July, which continued till August-September. During this period, the board extended the last date of registration several times, so that more and more students could fill the form. Actually, the registration started on July 15, 2025, which continued till August 5 without late fees. After this, registrations were done till 16th August with late fees. At the same time, the board gave another extension, in which the last date for depositing fees was made September 1, 2025.

Advance registration in class 9 and 11 also

The board has also done advance registration of a total of 49,46,134 students in classes 9 and 11 to prepare for the upcoming session. This will help the board to plan the examination arrangements, printing of question papers and center selection in time.

Last date for correction of errors in application form

The board has given the students a chance to correct the mistakes in the application form. Correction in class 10 and 12 forms can be done till October 31. The last date for application modification for classes 9 and 11 has been fixed as 5th November. Instructions have been issued to students and schools to take these dates seriously.

Preparation of question papers and copies continues

Board officials have started preparing for the examination. The work of preparation of question papers, moderation and printing of answer sheets (copies) is going on at a fast pace. Along with this, the entire process is being monitored keeping security and privacy in mind.

Will the number of centers also decrease?

Talking about examination centres, it is feared that their number will be reduced. Last year, more than 8 thousand centers were created, but this time the number may come down to around 7 thousand. Board officials say that the centers will be balanced, so that no student will have to go away. However, there will be no compromise on safety and transparency.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has given another opportunity to the school principals to correct the mistakes present in the LOC i.e. list of candidates of class 10th and 12th students. Through this data correction window, schools can make changes or corrections in information like student’s name, parents’ name, date of birth and subject.

last chance today

This correction process started from 13 October 2025 and today i.e. 27 October 2025 is its last day. Those schools which have not updated the data of their students till now, they have the chance only today. After this, the board will not allow any kind of change to be made. If any school has sent wrong information, then in the future, there can be many problems related to the examination, like making of admit card, irregularities in exam results and certificates etc.

How many students will participate

CBSE said that this time around 45 lakh students will appear in the 10th and 12th board exams.

Practical exam schedule released

The schedule of practical exams for 2026 has also been released. Practicals will run from 17th February to 15th July 2026. These exams will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm whereas for some subjects like painting or automotive, the time will be till 12:30 pm.

The board has warned that if the school or parents submit any information without checking it properly, it may lead to problems later, hence everyone has been asked to check the complete information of the student carefully and correct any mistake today itself.

These are the important things

Check whether the student’s name, date of birth and parents’ names are complete and correct.

Be sure to include the surname, especially for students who wish to study further abroad.

Date of birth should match with passport, PAN card or Aadhar card.

Choose the subjects wisely as no changes will be made after the last date of correction.
