CBSE Re-evaluation 2026 Portal: After the declaration of CBSE 12th board exam results, lakhs of students were waiting for the re-evaluation and verification process regarding their marks. The board had earlier announced that the re-evaluation portal will be restarted from June 1, 2026, so that students can check their answer sheets, number verification and apply for re-evaluation, but the portal for which students were waiting for many days, could not be fully functional even on time. From morning till late evening, thousands of students tried to login to the portal, but many faced difficulty in opening the website, while many students faced problems like error messages and unresponsive links. In such a situation, both anxiety and resentment have increased among students and parents.

The date was extended from May 29 to June 1.

CBSE had earlier announced to start the re-evaluation and verification portal from May 29, 2026, however, later the board extended its date to June 1. At that time the board had said that it wanted to provide a more transparent and technical glitch-free system to the students. For this reason the launch of the portal was postponed for a few days. The students were hopeful that after getting additional time, the portal would work without any problem, but it could not happen.

When was the launch announced?

CBSE shared information on June 1 at around 2 pm on social media platform X that the re-evaluation portal will be started soon. After this, the students could not see the active link of the application on the website for a long time. Many students complained that they are continuously checking the website, but the application process is not starting. Due to this, there is confusion among the students as to when the applications will be accepted.

Also read – CBSE Re-evaluation 2026: Re-evaluation portal will open soon, do not pay attention to rumors; CBSE issued statement

CBSE once again broke the trust of students

Before this, technical problems have come to light regarding the post-result portal of CBSE. Earlier, when the portal to get scanned answer sheets was opened, students had complained of many problems. During that time, some students were seeing blank pages, many links were not working and some had to face captcha related problems. Now similar problems are being seen with the re-evaluation portal also.

Increased anxiety due to limited time

Students are given limited time for the process of re-evaluation and verification. In such a situation, the portal not working on time is increasing the worries of the students. There are many students who are in doubt about their marks and want to apply as soon as possible, but due to lack of access to the portal, their precious time is being wasted. Parents also say that the board should have completely fixed all the technical arrangements first.

CBSE Three Language Policy: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important circular on 15 May 2026, in which a major change has been made in the language policy. According to this, it will be necessary for class 9 students to study three languages from the academic session of 2026-27. However, class 10 students will not have to appear for the board exam of this third language. This change will be applicable to all CBSE affiliated schools. The purpose of this change is to promote education of different languages among students and to strengthen Indian languages.

What is the new rule of three languages?

CBSE has introduced the formula of three languages for students. Which have been named R1, R2 and R3. According to the new rule, at least two languages of the students should be Indian languages. Students can choose a foreign language as the third language (R3) if they wish, but only if the other two languages are Indian. Foreign language can also be taken as a fourth additional subject.

Will board exams now have to be given in three languages?

The biggest relief to the students in this change is that there will be no board exam for the third language (R3). R3 will be evaluated internally at the school level. Its marks or grades will be included in the final marksheet of CBSE, but no student will be prevented from appearing in the board examination. Its purpose is not to put extra pressure on the students and to maintain focus on studies.

Why was this change necessary?

Earlier in the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), it was said that the study of three languages would start from class 6 and reach class 10 by 2030-31. CBSE has now implemented it immediately till classes 9 and 10. Its main objective is the preservation and promotion of Indian languages. Also, multilingual education needs to be strengthened and students should not be put under unnecessary pressure.

Also read – CBSE changed the language scheme of 9th-10th class, now it will be necessary to study two Indian languages.

What will students study and how?

Until new R3 books are available, Class 6 R3 books will be used for Class 9 students. Schools will include local or regional literature, such as poems, stories and prose material, in the curriculum. Books of 19 scheduled languages will be made available to schools before July 1, 2026. CBSE has also given special relaxation for some students. Which includes exemption from studying second or third language under RPWD Act 2016 and rules for students returning from abroad and students of CBSE schools abroad.

Schools will have to do these updates

Schools will have to update their language information on the OASIS portal by 30 June 2026. Schools can choose the language from this list as per their convenience, but the rule of two Indian languages should be fulfilled. A foreign language can be taught as a third language only if the other two languages are Indian, or it can be taken as a fourth subject.

The time of board examinations is very important and stressful for students and their families every year. Especially the examinations of class 10 and 12 play an important role in deciding the future direction of the students. At such a time, if news of cancellation or postponement of any examination comes out, then a situation of anxiety and confusion arises among the students and parents. Recently, amid the ongoing tension in some countries of the Middle East, a notice went viral on social media.

This notice claimed that some board examinations of class 10 and 12 have been canceled in the Middle East region amid the Iran-Israel war. This news disturbed thousands of Indian students and their parents studying there, but now the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made it clear that this news is completely fake and no such decision has been taken.

What was the claim in the fake notice?

The title of this alleged notice being shared on social media was Notice for Affiliated Schools (Middle East Region). It was said that all the remaining language subjects papers of classes 10 and 12 to be held after 28 February 2026 have been canceled in the Middle East region. Class 10 Social Science exam to be held on March 7, 2026 will also not be conducted at the examination centers in the Middle East. Whereas for the affected subjects, marks will be given to the students on the basis of internal assessment, pre-board examination and continuous assessment. No student will be failed in these subjects. The name of the controller of examinations was also written on the notice and its format looked like the official CBSE circular, due to which people believed it to be true and further increased the confusion.

What did CBSE say?

CBSE immediately termed this viral notice as fake. The board posted on its official social media platform X and clearly said that important warning, this is a fake notice. An official update will be released soon. After this clarification it became clear that the board exams in the Middle East have not been canceled and the exams are being conducted as per the schedule.

Why did panic spread among students?

Board exams are already a cause of stress for students. At a time when the examination is going on and suddenly the news of its cancellation comes out, then the preparation and mental state of the students gets affected. Many students and parents living in the Middle East accepted this news as truth and were confused as to what would happen next. Questions were being raised regarding this notice in some schools also. However, after the official statement of CBSE, the situation became clear and the rumors came to an end.

CBSE examinations are also conducted in foreign countries

Every year CBSE conducts board examinations at more than 7,800 examination centers across the world for approximately 42 lakh students. About 26 foreign countries are included in these. A large number of Indian students study in CBSE schools in Middle East countries like UAE, Qatar and Oman. There are about 15 CBSE recognized examination centers operating in UAE alone, where local and regional students take the examination.

Also read – The curriculum of polytechnic colleges of UP will be updated, courses like AI and cyber security will be taught.

Preparing for both board exams and CUET (Common University Entrance Test) simultaneously is not an easy task for any student. On one hand, in board exam you have to study deeply and give long answers, whereas in CUET you have to focus on the objective. At this time, students often get worried about what to study, how to study and what to give more priority to.

Especially those students who are preparing for CUET along with 12th board exam. Actually, after the board exam, the exam which will advance you in your future career is CUET. Therefore, it is very important to prepare for both in a balanced manner. These days, he is busy preparing for both Board and CUET. In such a situation, let us tell you today how to prepare for CUET between board exams, which tips will be very useful for you.

How to prepare for CUET between board exams

The first step to prepare for both board exams and CUET exams simultaneously is time management. Prepare a daily time table. Keep morning time for difficult subjects and evening time for practice or revision. Give more time to the subjects in which you are weak, but keep in mind that time is given to all the subjects. If you focus on weekday boards, then solve CUET mock tests and practice papers on weekends. Read board subjects during weekdays and prepare for CUET during weekends.

It is important to understand the syllabus

The syllabus of both CUET and Board is slightly different, but many topics are common. So identify similar topics. Like mathematics, physics, chemistry etc. The same preparation will be beneficial in both the exams. After this clear the concept. Written answers are required in board exam, objective in CUET. So instead of memorizing, understand. Focus on NCERT, CUET syllabus is 90-95 percent based on NCERT. Whether you are CBSE or State Board, NCERT books will help you the most.

Practice Papers and Mock Tests

Both speed and accuracy are important in CUET. For this, solve last year’s papers. This helps in understanding the exam pattern. Now give mock test. Improves your time management and reaction time. Practice reasoning and basic maths during weekends so that you can score better in CUET. Prepare short notes. Write the main points of each chapter in notes. Take out time every week to revise old topics. These notes will be very useful before the exam.

Choose the right study material

Give priority to NCERT books. This is the foundation of both the examinations. CUET Guides and Online Resources Many books are designed according to the CUET pattern. Apart from this, preparation can also be done through YouTube and apps.

Guidance and doubt clearing

Take help from teachers or mentors. If there is confusion in any topic, ask immediately. Use online resources. Understand patterns and clear doubts from websites and videos.

Expert tips for preparation

1. Read NCERT books thoroughly.

2. Give regular mock tests and solve old year papers.

3. Learn time management. CUET 1 hour board exam is of 3 hours.

4. Practice language and domain subjects.

5. Students should focus on board preparation first and include CUET in a balanced manner accordingly.

If you or your children are preparing for 10th, then this news is very important for you. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a major change in the methods of class 10th board examinations from 2026. Now students will get a chance to sit twice a year in the exam. Its purpose is to reduce the pressure on the students and give them a second chance to perform better.

What is the new rule?

CBSE Examination Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj has informed that now the 10th board examination will be held in two phases in two phases and second will be held in February and second in May.
However, a special thing in this is that appearing in the first examination will be mandatory for all students. At the same time, the second exam will be completely optional. That is, if a student is not satisfied with the marks of his first attempt, then he can sit in the second exam.

Why was this decision taken?

This decision of CBSE has been taken as per the recommendations of the new National Education Policy (NEP 2020). Its purpose is to give students a flexible and stress -free environment so that they can learn from their mistakes and improve it. The board believes that the talent of a student cannot be fully evaluated by one time examination.
