A source associated with the film shared, ‘Bobby Deol has returned to India from UK after taking a short break from the shooting of his current project, so that he can be present here for the release of his film ‘Bandar’. After ‘Animal’ and ‘The Bands of Bollywood’, Bobby is once again stepping into a space which is completely new and unexpected for him.

How is Bobby Deol’s character?
Made under the direction of famous director Anurag Kashyap, ‘Bandar’ shows the actor in a completely new style. He plays the role of Sameer Mehra, a waning pop star and troubled creative who goes into a downward spiral after shocking allegations of sexual assault are leveled against him. The gripping crime thriller showcases a high-stakes courtroom and media drama as his character tries to prove his innocence amid a flawed system.

​’Bandar’ has been written by Sudeep Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, the famous duo behind ‘Paatal Lok’, ‘Kohra’ and ‘Udta Punjab’. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi’s Saffron Magicworks and supported by Zee Studios, the film ‘Bandar’ is releasing in theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026.
