Actor Bobby Deol looked very emotional during his conversation with host Shekhar Suman in the chat show ‘Shekhar Tonight’. He talked about the emptiness created in his life by the departure of his father Dharmendra. During this, tears were visible in his eyes.

During the conversation, Shekhar Suman said emotionally, ‘There is a very big tree under which the entire family is tied. When he leaves, I feel very empty. On this Bobby Deol said that he too had lost his son at a young age years ago. This wound can never be healed.

‘There can be no one like him’
Bobby said, ‘My father was very special for me. He was such a person whom the whole world loved very much. We always had this feeling. Now that he is gone, this pain is not only for our family, but for the whole world. Even today, wherever I go, people get emotional remembering him. Papa was very special. There can be no one like him.

Praising Dharmendra’s simplicity, Shekhar Suman said that apart from his family, he used to talk lovingly to everyone he met at the farmhouse, be it the gardener or the domestic help. He felt happy even in small things like brinjal, fenugreek and parathas.

Bobby Deol also said during this time that life has changed a lot after his father’s departure. Although the family is still supporting each other, father’s place can never be filled.

Let us tell you, Dharmendra was one of the most popular and iconic actors of Indian cinema. He had an illustrious career spanning more than six decades. He died in November 2025 at the age of 89.
