Action star Sunny Deol is in the news these days due to the success of his film ‘Border 2’. After taking the box office by storm with ‘Gadar 2’ in 2023, he has once again proved that his stardom has not diminished. ‘Border 2’, released on January 23, is getting great response from people. After the success of the film, a special media event was organized in Mumbai on 12 February. Where Sunny shared many things from her heart and also remembered her late father Dharmendra.

What did the actor say on Sunny Deol 2.0?
During the event, a reporter described Sunny Deol as the most ‘bankable star’ of today’s era and called him ‘Sunny Deol 2.0’. When he was asked how he felt on receiving so much love and praise, Sunny laughed and said, ‘I don’t know where it was hidden for so many years.’ He said that all this is very sweet and he just wants to tell everyone to keep working hard. Love your work and never get discouraged. No one knows when times will change, so one should always be prepared.

Remembered father Dharmendra
On this special occasion, Sunny Deol remembered his father Dharmendra and said that whatever he is getting today is his father’s blessings. Dharmendra died in November 2025. Sunny admitted that his prayers are always with him. He said that all this is due to the blessings of Waheguru ji and people had given him love earlier also and are giving the same amount of love even today.

Industry also accepted star power
Sunny further said that now the industry has also understood that people across the country want to see her on the big screen. Wherever he goes he gets tremendous response. Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa and Anya Singh are also seen with him in ‘Border 2’. The love received for the film is being said to be the result of teamwork.

Preparation for upcoming films
Talking about the work front, Sunny Deol will soon be seen with Aamir Khan and Preity Zinta in ‘Lahore 1947’ which will be released on Independence Day of 2026. Apart from this, he revealed that he is working on another film named ‘Gabru’ which can hit the theaters this year. It is clear that Sunny Deol’s second phase has started and he is in no mood to stop now.

The way all this was shown in the media, perhaps a good relationship got spoiled even before it could be formed.

Imran’s opinion on Ranbir’s growth
Imran said that he has been cut off from Indian cinema for some years. He has not seen ‘Animal’ yet, so it is difficult to say much about Ranbir’s recent growth. But he also said that he has seen all Ranbir’s films when he was active and has always appreciated his work.
