Russia ukraine war: Russia has given a new direction to its airstrikes against Ukraine. In two recently viral videos, the FAB-500PD bombs of the Russian Air Force have been seen making an accurate attack with the UMPK kit. The second video features attacking ammunition storage facility in a Kherrason oblast of four FAB-500PD bombs. After which the tension of Ukraine has increased.

According to the Russian Telegram channel Fighterbomber, now these bombs have a new coma satellite navigation module, which removes the shortcomings of the previous version. This new module is more powerful against jamming, which has increased the accuracy of bombs significantly.

Ukrainian counter -strategy
In 2023, when Russia first used the UMPK kit, the Ukrainian Air Force did not have any effective defense system, but later the Ukrainian Army prepared a portable and mobile electronic war (EW) system, which reduced the accurate of comtaa module to a great extent. Through these systems, the Ukrainian army began to miss Russian bombs, which reduced the edge of Russia’s frontline attacks.

Will Jailonski’s strategy change?
Ukrainian President Volodimir Jelanki and his officials recently warned that Russia is preparing for a major attack. The rising activities of the Russian army, especially Sumi and Kharkiv, have evidence of this. The new capacity of bombs like FAB-500PD is more accurate and fatal than before, can make Russian attacks more dangerous. This may have a direct impact on Jailonsky’s military strategy. In such a situation, the question is arising whether Ukraine will have to change the ways of their defense? Given the upgrade of the UMPK kit, Russia now has a technical edge once again, but history is witness that the direction of war decides more strategy than the technology.
