In the midst of the ongoing war with Ukraine, Russia has once again shown the world a sample of its military strength. Russia’s Pacific Fleet’s coastal missile crew successfully tested the Onix Cruise missile on Saturday (September 13, 2025). The Russian Army launched this dangerous cruise missile from the Paraushir Island in the Kuril Islands, which completely destroyed the target set up in the middle sea.

Russia’s Onix Missile is extremely dangerous

Russia’s P-800 Oniks is a supersonic anti-ship cruise missile. Which was developed by Russia in the 1990s. This dangerous missile targets its goal at a speed of 2.5 times faster than the sound of voice, due to its high speed, it becomes difficult to catch the enemy radar.

The range of this highly deadly Onix missile ranges from 300 to 600 km, however, Russia targeted the target of just 350 km away during the test. The weight of this missile is about 3 tons, which is capable of carrying a warhead of 200 to 300 km.

Onix has a special relationship with India’s BrahMos

Russia’s highly dangerous Onix missile has a special relationship with the BrahMos missile called Brahmastra. In fact, Onix was developed by Russia in the 1990s, after which it was included in the Russian Navy in 2006. At the same time, the export version of this missile is called Yakhont, which is called the basis of the BrahMos missile of India.

Important role in testing in Bastian missile system

Russia’s missile test was part of Pacific Fleet’s large command exercise, in which the Bastian missile system also played an important role. Actually, Onix missile is launched only with Bastian-P or Bal-E-Ee Missile System. It is a mobile coastal defense system, designed to combat sea hazards from the coast. Through this, the enemy’s sea ships can be submerged by a lot of distance.

India is preparing to deliver the third and last consignment of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles to the Philippines soon. The Philippines is the first country in the world to bought BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from India to protect its country.

The Philippines signed a $ 375 million agreement with India in 2022 for purchasing the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. Under this agreement, the Philippines has already been given a delivery of two consignments of cruise missiles from India.

When did the Philippines get the delivery of missiles,

India gave the Philippines a delivery of the first batch of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles in 2024 last year. After this, its second batch has been submitted in early 2025 this year and now India is preparing to deliver the third and last batch of missiles to the Philippines under the agreement, after which the $ 375 million agreement between the two countries will be completed.

What did CEO say about delivery of BrahMos missile,

Jayatirtha Joshi, CEO and managing director of BrahMos Aerospace Joint Venture said, “The rocket is fully ready, we will deliver it on time.” However, he did not announce any exact date for this.

How deadly BrahMos missile gets to Philippines,

The $ 375 million dollar agreement between India and the Philimpace includes three missile batteries, which have a firepower of 290 km. Apart from this, when it comes to the speed of this supersonic cruise missile, it can target the enemy with the speed of 2.8 Mac.

Apart from the Philippines, many other countries of the world showed interest in BrahMos missile

The first batch missiles handed over by India last year have already been included in the Philippines Marine Corps. The Philippines is the first country to buy this missile. At the same time, apart from the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia are also interacting with India to buy BrahMos missiles. In addition, Armenia, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Oman, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Venezuela have also shown their interest in this missile.

Talks between Vietnam and India about the BrahMos missile in the last phase

According to the report of India Today, the negotiation of the missile deal with Vietnam is in the last phase and will soon be finalized. At the same time, the Philippines has also shown interest in buying more batteries under the Horizon 3 Military Modernization Program for its land-based coastal defense besides BrahMos missile from India.

It also read: Notice issued on demand to decide the rules of registration and registration of crores of parties who have taken up the election of crores by not contesting elections in the Supreme Court

China has objected to the shared maritime patrolling of India and the Philippines in South China Sea. Without naming India, China has said that the Philippines are threatened with such joint-petrol, regional peace and stability with the navies of other countries. Three warships of the Indian Navy, INS Delhi, Shakti and Kilton are visiting the Philippines these days and are doing a shared exercise.

During the exercise, the Indian warships are patrolling the South China Sea with the Navy of the Philippines. For the last two years, there has been tremendous tension between China and the Philippines in South China C and clashes have also come out.

China’s Ministry of Defense opposed joint petrol

According to China’s Defense Ministry spokesman Senior Colonel Tian Junali, “On August 3-4, the Navy of China’s Southern Theater Command Navy patrolled the routine in South China Sea. During this time, military activities and hypes done by the Navy of other countries are completely under control.” But the senior colonel opposed the Joint petrol by bringing the Navy of other countries in South China C of the Philippines.

President of Philippines arrived on a five -day visit to India

The special thing is that on Monday (August 4, 2025), the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Razos, visited India on a five-day (August 4-8) tour. On Tuesday (August 5), President Draupadi will meet Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the capital Delhi. During the visit to Marcos, several important agreements are likely to be signed between the two countries. Because India and the Philippines have an important partnership in areas like trade, defense-security, agriculture, pharma, healthcare and digital technology.

Strategic relations between India and the Philippines became very strong

In the year 2023, India exported supersonic cruise missile BrahMos to the Philippines. The Anti-Ship BrahMos missile has been deployed by the Philippines to protect its sea cots. China also keeps a feud from the Philippines about this.

In the last few years, the strategic relations between India and the Philippines have become very strong. This is the reason that three warships of Eastern Fleet of the Indian Navy are on a tour of the Philippines these days. Commanding-in-Chief Rear Admiral Sushil Sushil Menon of Eastern Fleet is himself on a visit to Manila, the capital of the Philippines. India has always been a great advocate of Freedom of Navigation in the Indo-Pacific sector.

In just 60 seconds, the DRDO has successfully tested the Quasi-Ballistic Cruise Missile ‘Holocaust’, which created a catastrophe in the enemy’s limits. In the presence of senior officers of the Army and Air Force, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has tested this very special tectical missile. Along with this, the Holocaust is going to be a part of the missile, Army and Air Force Ordnance.

Drdo Two successful tests of missiles

According to DRDO, two successful tests of the Holocaust missile were conducted on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island on Monday and 29 July 2025 on the coast of Odisha. These two were user-trial tests. In such a situation, they were made in the presence of senior officers of Army and Air Force. Equipped with several war-heads simultaneously, the Holocaust missile was done to test the maximum and minimum range capacity. According to DRDO, the missile followed the same trajectory who was needed and gave its target distinguishing accuracy.

The Holocaust missile is equipped with a firepower of 150 to 500 km

The Holocaust is a tectical missile, which is 150–500 km and will be used to destroy the enemy’s border command and control center, radar system, cantonments and airfields. Due to the ‘No First Use’ policy, the Test of the Holocaust missile is very important, as it will help in filling the gap of the missile, traditional and ballistic missile.

Order of 250 missiles has been given for Army and 120 for Air Force

The Holocaust is now going to be a part of the rocket force in the category of BrahMos and Nirbhay missile of the country. The Ministry of Defense had given the green signal for purchasing 250 cattle missiles for the Army a few months ago. Also, 120 missiles have been ordered for the Air Force. This Missile of DRDO is produced by the Government Undertaking, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).

Armed forces will get technically lead- Rajnath minister

This year, on the occasion of Republic Day, DRDO performed the Holocaust missile for the first time on the duty path. The missile can be launched from the Ashok Leyland truck. In such a situation, the missile can be easily transported from one place to another.

On the successful user-trial of the Holocaust, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has sent best wishes on DRDO, Armed Forces and Industry. Rajnath Singh said that this missile is equipped with modern technology. In such a situation, the armed forces will get technically an edge in dealing with the dangers. After the test, DRDO Chairman Dr. Sameer V. Kamat said, “These tests have opened the way for the Holocaust missile to join the armed forces.”
