Hamirpur News: The movement of vehicles was stopped from 6 am on Saturday morning due to repair of the dilapidated bridge on the Yamuna river on the Kanpur-Sagar highway. Only on foot was allowed. Due to which the vehicle carrying the dead body was also stopped. The son of the deceased woman kept pleading for a long time, but the employees did not sweat.

After giving up, the son forced the body of the driver of the vehicle crossing the body of the mother on a stretcher and crossed the bridge on foot. Earlier, the Sadar MLA’s car was allowed to leave the bridge. For this, the employees also removed the barricades installed there and at around seven o’clock, when the car reached the bridge of Sadar MLA Dr. Manoj Prajapati, the employees removed the barricles and let the car go. At the same time, no body vehicle from Kanpur was given entry.

Bridge crossed on foot
The son started crossing the bridge on foot with the dead body stretcher. While crossing a bridge one km long, he kept the dead body at four places and then picked up and walked. Man Singh, a resident of Teda village in Sumerpur police station, said that mother Shivdevi had a factory in her leg. He died during treatment in a hospital in Kanpur. He was coming to the village with the dead body from the vehicle. After this, he took the dead body in the auto and took it to the village. The case of stopping the ambulance of the dead body on the Yamuna Bridge and the removal of the car of Sadar MLA Manoj Prajapati caught fire, then the Sadar MLA has given his response.

He said that his brother’s health was very bad due to which the bridge was to be sent for treatment and when his car was coming out, the bridge was not completely closed, so the vehicles were removed from the bridge, as well as when the dead body was stopped, the repair work was going on in the bridge, due to which his son crossed the bridge by putting the body in the stretch. At the same time, the barricades were being installed to close the bridge, seeing the patient, the vehicles left the bridge and when the dead ambulance was stopped, the bridge was completely closed, due to which the ambulance was stopped.

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) on Tuesday (June 3, 2025) claimed that they have damaged the road and rail bridge connecting Russia and Crimea with explosives below the water level.

The SBU said in a statement that 1,100 kg of explosives were used to blow up the bridge, causing explosives in the morning and blown the pillars under the bridge. It was a major supply route for the Russian Army in Ukraine in the past.

‘The bridge has been reopened’

Russian officials said that the operation of this bridge was suspended for about three hours between 4 am and 7 am local time. Later it was reported that the bridge has been reopened and it is working normally.

SBU said in its statement, “Earlier we had attacked the Crimean Bridge twice in 2022 and 2023. We exploded under water today, furthering the same tradition. Also said that the preparation for this operation was being done for several months. The SBU shared a video footage, which exploded to one of the many tributaries of the bridge.

The attack failed- Russian military bloggers
Reuters have confirmed the explosion, which matches the Setelite and File Imagery. However, Reuters is not able to verify when this video was made. At the same time, a Russian military bloggers said that the attack failed and speculated that it was done by a Ukrainian maritime drone,

The 19 km long Crimea Bridge built on the Kerch Strait is the only direct contact between Russia’s transport network and Crimea Peninsula, which Moscow separated from Ukraine in 2014.
