Late actor Dharmendra’s last film ‘Ikkis’ has been released in theaters on January 1, 2026. The film is also getting good response from critics. This film shows the unheard story of India-Pakistan war of 1971. In such a situation, many actors have played real life characters in the film. These include names ranging from Agastya Nanda to Dharmendra.

Agastya Nanda- Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal
Agastya Nanda is the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan who made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Ikkis’. Agastya has been seen as a lead actor in the film. In the film, he played the role of the youngest Paramvir Chakra winner Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. Arun Khetrapal was a 21-year-old tank officer of the Poona Horse Regiment who fought till his last breath during the Battle of Basantar.

Dharmendra- Brigadier Madan Lal Khetrapal
‘Ikkis’ is the last film of late actor Dharmendra. In this film, Dharmendra has played the role of Brigadier Madan Lal Khetrapal, father of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. In the film, he is seen struggling with the pain of losing his 21 year old son. However, he also expresses that he is proud of his son’s patriotism and sacrifice.

Jaideep Ahlawat- Brigadier John Mohammad Nisar
Jaideep Ahlawat has been seen in the role of Pakistan’s Brigadier John Mohammad Nisar in ‘Ikkis’. In the film, he is seen close to Arun Khetrapal’s father Brigadier Madan Lal Khetrapal (Dharmendra). This is the reason why most of her scenes in the film are with Dharmendra.

Vivaan Shah- Captain Vijender Malhotra

Vivaan Shah, son of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, is also a part of ‘Ikkis’. In this film he has played the role of Captain Vijender Malhotra. He also fought with tanks in the India-Pakistan war of 1971 along with Arun Khetarpal.

Sikandar Kher- RIS Sagat Singh
Sikandar Kher has played the role of RIS Sagat Singh in ‘Ikkis’. Sagat Singh was considered the operational backbone of the regiment. In the film, Sikandar is seen playing the role of Arun Khetarpal’s senior officer.
