While creating the password, use capital letters, small letters, numbers and special characters. With this, no one will be able to easily enter your network. After changing the password, all old devices are automatically disconnected.

Make sure to turn on these settings of the router

Most people never change the settings of their router after installing it. This can prove to be the biggest mistake. Keep WPA2 or WPA3 security mode on in the router. This helps protect your network from unauthorized access. Apart from this, the WPS feature should be turned off. This feature is for quick connection but cyber experts do not consider it safe from security point of view.

Know other reasons for slow WiFi

Not only theft, WiFi can become slow due to many other reasons also. If the router is kept in a corner of the house or there are many walls around it, then the signal may become weak. Microwaves, Bluetooth devices and old routers also affect internet speed.

For better speed, keep the router in the middle of the house and in an open place. Also keep restarting and updating the router from time to time. With this, network performance remains better.
