The list of companies providing internet service in the country may soon be included in Billionaire Elon Musk’s starlink. This company has got the final regulatory approval to provide satellite internet service. Earlier, Onweeb of Reliance Jio and Eultsat has also got the green signal for the launch of the service.

Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (In-Space) has given this approval to Starlink. A one of reates Report In-Space has been quoted as saying that Starlink license is valid for five years. Last month, the company got a license from the Telecom Ministry. Starlink will now need to get spectrum from the central government, build infrastructure and show through testing and trial that the company is completing the rules related to security. For the last three years, Starlink was waiting for a license to start its satellite internet service in the country.

There was a dispute between Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio and Starlink for several months how to have a spectrum allocation for satellite internet service in the country. However, the government favored Starlink in this case that the satellite spectrum should be allocated instead of oxes. Starlinks lobbied for not auctioning the satellite spectrum. This company had said that licenses should be given according to the international trend for this. Starlinks argued that this is a natural resource that companies associated with communication should share.

Telecom companies like Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio had said that if the price of satellite spectrum is kept low then it will harm their business. This can benefit companies providing satellite internet service like Starlink. The organization Cellular Operators Association of Telecom companies, in a letter to the Telecom Ministry, also demanded a review of the proposal related to pricing of satellite spectrum. The letter said that satellite internet service providers for the government’s telecom companies about 21 percent more for spectrum compared to the price.

Starlink Gen1: Starlink will play a revolutionary role in promoting digital connectivity in India. Through this, high -speed satellite will be transported to the internet in the remote remote areas of India. For this, Starlink Satellite Communications Private Limited (SSCPL) has been approved by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authority Center.

Starlink Gen-1 Low Earth Orbit (Leo) is officially authorized to provide satellite communication service using satellite group. This agreement is for 5 years. However, the operation of Starlink’s services will be subject to all regulatory approvers, approval and licenses received from government departments.

What is Starlink Jane-1?
Starlink Gane-1 is a global group, including 4,408 satellites, revolving around the Earth at a height of 540 to 570 km. The group is designed to provide a strong throwput of about 600 GBPS in India. It promises to bring revolutionary changes in internet access to urban users seeking high speed connectivity along with rural communities.

Villagers living in remote areas are of great advantage
Experts believe that the arrival of Starlinks can lead to a big change in connectivity for millions of Indians, especially in areas where the infrastructure of the Internet is limited or not present. This service is designed to provide uninterrupted broadband access to homes, businesses, schools and emergency services, which will create new opportunities for education, commerce and innovation.

Starlink is currently serving in Sri Lanka
A spokesperson of the IN-Space stressed that all the starlink operations in India would be strictly monitored to ensure compliance with national security and regulatory requirements. This step is also in line with global trends, as satellite internet groups are becoming an important component of the world’s digital ecosystem. Starlink has recently started operating satellites to provide broadband services in Sri Lanka.

Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced new services in the last few months. BSNL has launched a new service for delivery on the SIM card doorstep. An online portal has been launched for this. Through this portal, customers will get a SIM card at their home. It will get prepaid and postpaid SIM options.

However, before the delivery of SIM, customers will have to verify Self KYC (No Youar Customer). For this, customers have to go to https://sancharaadhaar.bsnl.co.in/bsnlskyc. PIN code, applicant’s name and alternative mobile number have to be entered on this portal. After this an OTP will be sent to alternative mobile number for confirmation. BSNL has reported that to overcome any problem or apprehension regarding this service, contact can be made at the helpline number 1800-180-1503.

The service of delivery is already present on the doorstep of private telecom companies Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio’s SIM card. Last week, BSNL launched 5G fixed wireless service. It is the first customized 5G FWA with indigenous technology without sim. This service of the company has been launched in Hyderabad, Telangana and will soon be extended to many other cities. Initially, the company is charging Rs 999 for plan for 100 Mbps for this service and Rs 1,499 for 300 MBPS. In this service, a modem is installed outside the premises of the subscriber and signal is transmitted from a nearby base station for wireless broadband service. It does not require optical fiber for connection.

The 5G network of BSNL may be launched soon. The company’s 5G service will be called Q-5G. In this, Q means Quantum. BSNL plans to increase equipment for 4G and 5G networks. The 5G network of large private telecom companies is present in a large part of the country. To compete with these companies, BSNL needs to launch 5G service soon. The number of subscribers of the company has declined in the last few months.

Satellite internet services may start soon in the country. However, earlier telecom companies like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have said that if the price of satellite spectrum is kept low then it will harm their business. This can benefit companies providing satellite internet service like Billionaire Elon Musk’s Starlink.

Last month, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) proposed to pay four percent of their annual revenue to the central government for satellite internet service providers. Starlinks lobbied for not auctioning the satellite spectrum. Starlink said that licenses should be given for this as per the International Trend. The company argued that this is a natural resource whose communication companies should share.

A report by Reuters states that the Cellular Operators Association of India, in a letter to the Telecom Ministry later last month, has demanded a review of this proposal related to pricing of satellite spectrum. The letter states that satellite internet service providers about 21 percent more to the spectrum than the price for internet service providers. Reuters have seen this letter. It said, “The spectrum should be equally or compared per mHz price per mHz price.”

In this regard, Reliance Jio and Airtel did not answer the request sent by Reuters for comments. Starlink was not available for comment about this. A senior government official told Reuters that the Telecom Ministry is reviewing TRAI’s suggestions. He said that such apprehensions have been raised by the telecom industry before. Over the years, Reliance Jio and other telecom companies have spent about $ 20 billion to get 5G spectrum in auction for telecom, data and broadband service. Reliance Jio demanded auction for satellite spectrum. <!--

The government has once again announced a big announcement to deliver high-speed internet to every corner of the country. At the 22nd Bharat Telecom 2025 event, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that a mega plan has been prepared to deliver broadband connectivity to every village in India, which is said to be around Rs 34,000 crore.

Large telecom companies Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel won new mobile subscribers in January. The number of net subscribers of government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) continues. Last year, after the increase in tariffs of private telecom companies, the number of BSNL subscribers increased to a few months. Its subscribers are decreasing due to the company’s 5G network being present and low availability of 4G network.

According to data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Bharti Airtel has received around 16.5 lakh new subscribers in January. Reliance Jio has added about 6.86 lakh new subscribers. Vodafone Idea has lost 13.4 lakh users and BSNL has lost about 1.52 lakh users. In January, the total number of broadband subscribers increased to 9,451.6 lakhs. Reliance Jio’s first place was intact in the wireless broadband market at the end of January. This is followed by Bharti Airtel’s second rank.

Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel’s wireless broadband data is based on November data last year as both these telecom companies have not informed the updated number of their subscribers in the required format in the last two months. The number of broadband users of BSNL has come down to about 3.15 crores. The total number of wireless subscribers in the country increased by about 0.05 percent to about 115.1 crore at the end of January. Along with the increase in the number of subscribers of Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, there has been growth in the user (ARPU) on the average revenue.

India in the world is one of the few countries where there is no expensive tariff for telecommunication services. However, this situation may change soon. Large telecom companies can re -increase tariffs by the end of this year. A media report recently quoted an analysis of the international brokerage firm Bernstein as saying that telecom companies could increase the tariff by 10-20 percent this year. This may be a fourth increase in tariffs in the last six years. In July last year, telecom companies raised tariffs by 25 percent. The main reason behind this to strengthen the 4G network and expansion of 5G network was the main reason for capital needs. <!--

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to have a meeting with Elon Musk, who is playing an important role in the US government. In this, the issue of Entry of Starlink, a company of Musk’s satellite internet service, may arise. There will be a Mudi meeting with Donald Trump, who recently took over as the US President. In this meeting, along with discussion on trade, there will be a major agenda of tariff exemption.

Prime Minister Modi’s two -day visit to America started from Wednesday. Sources who know about this told the reuters that in India in a meeting between Modi and Musk Starlink The issue of delay in launching satellite broadband service may include the issue of delay. A source said that Musk agreed to assure India on the apprehensions about security. This includes local storage of data. In this regard, Prime Minister Modi’s office and Starlink did not answer the request sent for comments.

Recently, a media report quoted sources as saying that Starlink has formally agreed for the conditions related to data interception by the Government of Telecom Department (DOT). In order to obtain this service license in the country, all companies have to accept these conditions. The report said that Starlink had requested to give exemption in certain conditions till the application for this was approved, but the government refused to give any exemption to foreign companies. No foreign company has been licensed for satellite internet service by DOT.

Starlinks in the country may get a competition with Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio. Both these telecom companies also plan to launch this service. This spectrum can be allocated by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (DOT) in the next few months. Recently Bharti Enterprises reported that it is ready to start the satellite telecom service. She is waiting for the approval of the central government for this service. The company had said that two of its stations are ready in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. <!--

Bharti Airtel, one of the big telecom companies, has given Nokia and Qualcomm a contract to improve its 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) and Wifi solutions. Under this contract, Manufacturing will be done in the country according to the ‘Make in India’ mission of Nokia’s 5G FWA and Wi-Fi 6 access points of Finland.

However, the value of this contract has not been reported. This will increase the availability of broadband in areas where fiber connectivity is not limited or available. Bharti Airtel will be supplied to Nokia its 5G FWA outdoor gateway receiver and Wi-Fi 6 access points. These devices will use the modem-RF and Wi-Fi 6 chipset of Qualcomm.

Bharti Airtel is preparing to increase the coverage of its 5G network. The company plans to increase coverage to meet the increasing demand for data. Along with this, Bharti Airtel has also decided not to make new investment in 4G network. Recently, the company’s managing director, Gopal Vittal, said, “The expansion of 5G coverage is going on as per the plan. We had a 5G base of 12 million subscribers at the end of the last quarter. The share of 5G smartphones in the total shipments of the smartphone has increased to more than 80 percent. We are benefiting from this.” He had said that Bharti Airtel’s capital experience has decreased in the current financial year. In the last quarter, the company has installed about 5,200 towers and about 16,300 mobile broadband stations to increase its network and improve the experience of customers.

Recently Bharti Enterprises reported that it is ready to start the satellite telecom service. For this service, approval is being awaited by the Central Government. Billionaire Elon Musk’s company Starlink has also sought permission from the government for launching satatelight internet service. “We are waiting for spectrum allocation. Our two stations are ready in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. We will launch this service after getting permission.”
<!--
