Border Security Force (BSF) has started the application process for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) under sports quota. This recruitment has brought great opportunities for talented candidates in sports, where they will not only get a government job but will also get the honor of serving the country.

The application process has already started and interested and eligible candidates can apply till 11:59 pm on November 4, 2025. To apply, candidates will have to register online by visiting the official website of BSF, rectt.bsf.gov.in. A total of 391 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive.

Ability

For this post, candidates must have passed 10th from a recognized board. Additionally, the candidate must have represented the country or won a medal in any international sport recognized by the International Olympic Association in the last two years. That is, this recruitment is especially for those players who have brought glory to the country at the national or international level.

What is the age limit?

The minimum age of the candidate applying should be 18 years and maximum age should be 23 years. However, as per government rules, relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates. Relaxation of 5 years in maximum age limit for SC/ST candidates. OBC candidates will be given relaxation of 3 years.

How much salary will you get?

Candidates selected for the post of Constable (GD) will get an excellent salary package. They will be given a salary ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 per month. Along with this, other allowances and facilities will also be provided as per the rules of the Central Government.

Candidates will also have to deposit the application fee. The fee for male candidates of General and OBC category has been fixed at ₹ 159. Whereas the application is free for SC, ST and women candidates.

Age limit
To apply for these posts, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and maximum age should be 25 years. According to the rules of the government, the age limit will be given to the candidates of the reserved category. Candidates of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) will get 5 years and other Backward Class (OBC) candidates will get 3 years exemption.

Examination fee
The application fee has been fixed at ₹ 100. However, SC/ST class and all women candidates will not have to pay any fee. The fee will be paid online through online.

Educational qualification and pay scale
The candidate has passed class 10th from a recognized board. Also, a two -year certificate course is also mandatory in the relevant trade. The selected candidates will be given a pay scale of Rs 21,700 to 69,100 per month.

Selection process

• First step – Physical Standard Testing (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Second phase – Written test
• third step – Document verification

There will be a total of 100 questions in the written examination, which will be of 100 marks. The questions will be from general awareness, mathematics, English and Hindi subjects. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and all the questions will be of class 10th level.
