According to the report, due to recharge plans becoming expensive and the completion of 5G rollout, the margins of telecom will start increasing. Experts say that the era of investment on 5G infrastructure is over, due to which there is less possibility of cost increase for companies.

Companies had increased the rates of some plans in November

Last year in November, some telecom companies had made some of their recharge plans expensive. Vi had made its annual plan of Rs 1999 costlier by 12 percent and its 84 days plan by 7 percent. Similarly, Bharti Airtel had also reduced its cheapest voice only plan to Rs 199 instead of Rs 189. Government company BSNL was also not left behind and instead of increasing the rates, it had reduced the validity of its entry-level prepaid plans. Overall, it also had an impact on the pockets of the customers.
