India’s first bullet train project, Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-speed rail corridor is in constant discussion. Recently, a historical achievement has been achieved in this project. The 4.9 km long tunnel section, which has been built from Shilfata to Ghansoli, is now fully prepared. The last part was broken and added through the control blasting technique.

This tunnel is made from Natm (New Austrian Tunneling Method). It is part of the bogde that is about 21 km long sea, out of which the 7 km route will be under Thane Bay. On this occasion, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself was present and described the progress of the project as historic.

Delay in Maharashtra and now got speed

There were many obstacles in the project in the initial stages. The project was delayed by about two and a half years due to non -receipt of necessary permissions during the former Thackeray government of Maharashtra. Due to this, the cost of the project also increased. However, now the state and central governments are raising the project rapidly. The 320 km bridge porus has been completed and the bridge work on the rivers is also being done at a rapid pace. A large -scale guard launch machinery has been prepared. The special thing is that India is now exporting this technology.

Train service timeline and fare

The operation of the bullet train will be completely based on modern models. Trains will be run every half an hour in pick hour. In this, passengers will not be compulsory for reservation in advance. You can take a ticket directly and catch the train. It is expected to start in 2027. There is a possibility of expansion by 2028 by Thane. The entire line to Mumbai is likely to be operational by 2029. This train will be for model class and its fare will be kept resignable. Currently it takes about 9 hours to cover the distance from Mumbai to Ahmedabad on Google Map. After the bullet train, this journey will be just 2 hours.

Security and future plans

Complaints of cracks in nearby houses have been received from blasting during construction work. On this, the Ministry has said that precautions are being taken. Also, a clear document is being prepared in which there will be suggestions for safe schemes of houses around the bullet train track. This document will be handed over to the Government of Maharashtra and Gujarat. LocopyLats are being trained in Japan so that the best operation in India can be ensured. The Railway Minister also informed that a tender of 238 trains of new generation has been issued in Mumbai local. These trains will have closed doors so that the safety of passengers can be ensured.
