The Australian Cricket Board has given fitness clearance to Cameron Green and has also informed the KKR franchise about it. Cameron Green was not bowling till now due to lower back problem.

The KKR team has also shared a video clip on social media, in which Green is seen practicing bowling. While bowling in the net session, he also blew away the stumps. This news has come at a time when Kolkata team is lagging badly in the bowling department.

Cameron Green bowls medium pace and has taken 30 wickets in 73 matches so far in his T20 career. Green is primarily a batsman and plays the role of the sixth bowler in the team. Since the Kolkata team has proved to be poor in bowling in IPL 2026, with Green getting the approval, KKR will now have an additional bowling option.

Kolkata Knight Riders has not been able to register a single win in IPL 2026 so far. First, Mumbai Indians defeated them by 6 wickets, then they had to face a 6-wicket defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad. His match against Punjab Kings was washed out due to rain.
