Can Eating Momos Cause Choking Death: A tragic incident has come to light in Tarn Taran city of Punjab, where two real brothers and sisters died under suspicious circumstances. It is being told that his health deteriorated at night after eating food from a roadside vendor on Saturday evening. When the parents took them to the hospital on Sunday morning, the doctors declared both the children dead.

According to the family, the children had eaten momos and champs from a street vendor on Saturday evening. Shortly after eating food, both of them started vomiting. Initially, he was given medicine to stop vomiting at home, after which he slept. But when the children did not wake up for a long time on Sunday morning, the family members got scared and immediately took them to the hospital, where the doctors declared them dead. Dr. Chandril Chugh, US Trained Adult & Pediatric Neurologist shared a video on social media and said that people who like to eat momos should be aware of 4 diseases caused by it. According to him, this causes the problem of fatty liver, because all the flour goes to the liver and later creates such problems. Secondly, it also causes blood pressure and heart disease. This happens because the spicy chutney we eat with it contains sodium. He further explains that due to this, cancer can also be a problem. The fourth biggest cause of death is heart attack. Dr. Chandril explains that due to oil, there is a problem of blockage in the heart, due to which the problem of death due to heart attack is increasing among young people today.

What things should be kept in mind while eating momos?

According to experts of AIIMS New Delhi, caution is very important while eating momos. Actually, the texture of momos is quite soft and slippery. If they are swallowed without chewing them properly, the risk of them getting stuck in the throat increases, which can lead to choking or in severe cases, even life-threatening situations. This warning came after an incident when a person suddenly collapsed at the shop while eating momos. In the post mortem report, it was found that a dumpling i.e. Momo was stuck at the mouth of his windpipe. Medical experts believed that his death was due to strangulation caused by Momo.

Another important thing is that most momos are made from flour. Actually, flour is that part of the grain which has almost no fiber. To make it soft and white, it is passed through chemical process many times. Some experts believe that such chemicals can be harmful to the body if consumed in large quantities for a long time.
