UAE’s thrilling victory

The UAE team, which came to chase the target of 151 runs, made a very poor start in batting. At one time the UAE team had lost 4 wickets after scoring only 68 runs in 13 overs. After this, UAE batsmen achieved the target by scoring 83 runs in the next 40 balls. Despite a bad start, the UAE team won in the first 2 balls.

Aryansh Sharma returned unbeaten after scoring 74 runs in 53 balls, in this innings he hit 6 fours and 3 sixes. Meanwhile, the UAE team had lost wickets continuously, but Shoaib Khan supported Aryansh Sharma very well and made a partnership of 84 runs, taking his team to the threshold of victory.

This is only the second time in the T20 World Cup 2026 that a bowler took 5 wickets in a single innings. Before him, Romario Shepherd of West Indies had done this. He also took a hat-trick.

Both teams want to win

Canada and UAE are coming after losing their respective first matches. In such a situation, to keep the hopes of Super-8 alive, both are in dire need of victory.
