Canada election: Jagmeet Singh, a leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) of Canada and a pro -Khalistan in Canadian politics, has accepted his seat defeat in Bernbai Central. He has announced that as soon as the interim leader is appointed, he will resign from his party post.

Gurmeet came on stage in his campaign headquarters in Burnbi and thanked his supporters and his family at the NDP election party. He also congratulated Liberal leader Mark Carney on his victory. During his speech, Gurmeet Singh talked about his love and future towards NDP and started crying bitterly. Gurmeet said, “Thank you to all of you and all the people present in this room, you have put your heart in it. Thank you very much for what you have done. You are amazing.”

The NDP leader said, “I know tonight is disappointing for New Democrats. We had very good candidates who lost tonight. I know how hard you have worked. I spent time with you. You are amazing. I am very sorry that you will not be able to represent your communities. I know that you will continue to fight for them.”

‘A lot of sacrifice for politics’

Gurmeet has left his seat in the House of Commons- Bernbee Central, on which he has been occupying since 2019 and has come at number three. This seat was earlier called Burnbi South. The NDP leader said that the decision to dedicate his life to politics comes with some sacrifice, “But we choose this life because it gives a chance to improve the country you love.” He stopped for a while to stop the tears and said, “We sometimes lose and this defeat hurts.”

Fear of electoral intervention
Voting for the general election in Canada is to be held on April 28. Earlier, in the CSIS report, it has been alleged that apart from India, China, Russia and Pakistan can also interfere in the Canadian election campaign. Lloyd claimed that China could use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to interfere in the Canadian elections.

Russia and Pakistan accused
Russia has also been made serious allegations. Lloyd said that Russia has tried to create a network to molest and intervene campaign on social media and news websites. In addition, he claimed that Pakistan may also be involved in intervention activities against Canada.

Safety measures
Under the federal protocol implemented in 2019, if a committee of bureaucrats arrive at the conclusion that an incident may affect the Canadian election process, the public may be warned. According to this protocol, the committee, which monitors security and intelligence, is kept cautious, which is presided over by Vanessa.

Allegations of foreign intervention
As soon as the elections in Canada come close to the elections, various countries have been accused of intervention. These allegations against countries like India, China, Russia and Pakistan may affect international relations. Canada News: Canada on Monday (March 24) feared that Pakistan may interfere in the general election to be held on April 28 in an attempt to balance India’s ‘growing global impact’. Canadian Safety Intelligence Service (CSIS) Deputy Director Vanessa Lloyd said that Islamabad could carry out foreign intervention activities against Canada.

At a press conference, he said, “The Government of Pakistan can carry out foreign intervention activities against Canada to promote political, security and economic stability and to combat India’s growing global impact,” he said.

‘India can also intervene’

CSIS Deputy Director Vanessa Lloyd said, “We have also seen that the Government of India has the intention and ability to intervene in Canadian communities and democratic processes to maintain its geopolitical influence.” Last year, Canada had made similar allegations, which were clearly rejected by New Delhi. He said, “We have also seen that the Government of India has the desire and ability to interfere in Canadian communities and democratic processes to establish its geopolitical influence.”

Significantly, in September 2023, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused the involvement of New Delhi in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. After this allegation, tension in relations between India and Canada increased. India dismissed the allegation as ‘baseless’ and ‘absurd’ and dismissed it outright.

China has also been accused

Lloyd said, “The PRC (People’s Republic of China) can use the AI-competent tool to try to intervene in the Canadian democratic process in this election.” He also said that China can resort to social media to promote the Narrator as per its interests and in Canada, Chinese ethnic, cultural and religious communities are particularly likely to be targeted in Canada with ‘secret and misleading’ methods.
