This new technology has been created by Astrazneca and Indian Health-Tech Company Qure.ai. It is an AI algorithm, called QXR. This algorithm sees the X-ray scan and identifies the problems present in it, especially nodules that may be the early symptoms of lung cancer.

QXR technology is now helping in areas where there is a shortage of high -tech technology and doctors, such as Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. In these areas, this technique is detecting the symptoms of cancer of millions of people, for which it was difficult to investigate earlier.

Time escaping in treatment of cancer

The biggest advantage of this technique is that cancer symptoms can be identified quickly, so that treatment can also be started quickly. Suspicious cases caught from AI are sent for further investigation, such as CT scan. So far, around 50,000 people with cancer symptoms have been found, they have been sent for early treatment.

Qure.ai’s CEO, Praveen Warrier said, ‘This partnership is a big step to bring our AI technology into real life. This shows how AI can increase the facilities in health care and identify rapid diseases. They especially consider its advantage in countries where there is a lack of screening and is limited to treatment. AI technology is also helping to detect cancer in such areas and people’s lives are being saved.

AI’s important role in fighting cancer

Lung cancer is still the biggest cause of cancer deaths worldwide. Especially in low -income countries, where screening and treatment facilities are low. In these areas, technology like QXR can make a quick detection of lung cancer, which can bring a big change. Recently European Lung Cancer Congress 2025 stated that QXR identified high-refusal nodules in 54.1% of cases, which proves that it is an effective screening tool.
