In fact, as soon as the results of re-evaluation of 12th board examination of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) were released, the fate of Avni Kejriwal of Ranchi and Aditya Mishra of Bokaro changed.

Aditya becomes joint topper of science stream

After the re-evaluation of 12th board examination, Aditya Mishra, a student of DPS School, Bokaro, got 99.20 percent marks in the examination conducted by CBSE. He was not satisfied with the 96 marks he got in Biology, after which he applied for copy checking again.

After re-evaluation, his marks in Biology increased from 96 to 99. With this his total percentage reached 99.60. Now he has become the joint national topper of science stream with Sonakshi Goyal of Kanpur. Aditya has got 100 marks out of 100 in English Core, Chemistry and Painting, while he has got 99 marks in Physics.

Avni scored 500 marks out of 500.

At the same time, Avni Kejriwal, a student of Delhi Public School, Ranchi, had got only 95.2 percent marks in the results released earlier. But he believed that his marks in English were much lower than expected. When he saw the scanned copy of his answer sheet, he found that despite many correct answers, he was not given full marks.

After this Avni applied for re-evaluation in English, Business Studies and Graphics subjects. After the investigation was completed, the result was shocking. His 81 marks in English directly increased to 100. He also got 100 out of 100 marks in Business Studies and Graphics. In this way his total marks became 500 out of 500 and he secured first position in the country with 100 percent score.

Avni said that she had full confidence in her hard work and performance, but did not expect to become a national topper. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the family and school due to his success.

Bhavya has already established her career in arts

At the same time, in Arts stream, Bhavya Ranjan, a student of Oxford Public School, Ranchi, has already secured first position in the country with 99.8 percent marks. Bhavya credits her success to the school’s special ‘Target 100’ program.

CBSE Re-evaluation 2026 Portal: After the declaration of CBSE 12th board exam results, lakhs of students were waiting for the re-evaluation and verification process regarding their marks. The board had earlier announced that the re-evaluation portal will be restarted from June 1, 2026, so that students can check their answer sheets, number verification and apply for re-evaluation, but the portal for which students were waiting for many days, could not be fully functional even on time. From morning till late evening, thousands of students tried to login to the portal, but many faced difficulty in opening the website, while many students faced problems like error messages and unresponsive links. In such a situation, both anxiety and resentment have increased among students and parents.

The date was extended from May 29 to June 1.

CBSE had earlier announced to start the re-evaluation and verification portal from May 29, 2026, however, later the board extended its date to June 1. At that time the board had said that it wanted to provide a more transparent and technical glitch-free system to the students. For this reason the launch of the portal was postponed for a few days. The students were hopeful that after getting additional time, the portal would work without any problem, but it could not happen.

When was the launch announced?

CBSE shared information on June 1 at around 2 pm on social media platform X that the re-evaluation portal will be started soon. After this, the students could not see the active link of the application on the website for a long time. Many students complained that they are continuously checking the website, but the application process is not starting. Due to this, there is confusion among the students as to when the applications will be accepted.

CBSE once again broke the trust of students

Before this, technical problems have come to light regarding the post-result portal of CBSE. Earlier, when the portal to get scanned answer sheets was opened, students had complained of many problems. During that time, some students were seeing blank pages, many links were not working and some had to face captcha related problems. Now similar problems are being seen with the re-evaluation portal also.

Increased anxiety due to limited time

Students are given limited time for the process of re-evaluation and verification. In such a situation, the portal not working on time is increasing the worries of the students. There are many students who are in doubt about their marks and want to apply as soon as possible, but due to lack of access to the portal, their precious time is being wasted. Parents also say that the board should have completely fixed all the technical arrangements first.
