The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued very important guidelines for Class 10 board examination 2026. These instructions will be mandatory for all those students who are going to appear for the board exams next year. This time the board has completely changed the way of writing in the question paper and answer sheet of both science and social science subjects. The new guideline is also available on the official website of CBSE cbse.gov.in.

From this year, CBSE has divided the question papers of Class 10 Science and Social Science into different parts, so that the answers of the students can be written in a systematic manner and there is no confusion in checking the copy. Earlier, students used to write the answers of these subjects in the same order, due to which many times the answers got confused. Now the board has implemented strict and clear rules to eliminate this problem.

Question paper in three parts

According to CBSE, the science question paper will be in three parts. First of all, there will be questions from Biology in Section A, followed by Chemistry in Section B and finally Physics questions will be given in Section C. Students will also have to write their answers in the answer book in the same order by creating three separate sections. If a student mistakenly writes the answer of Physics in the Biology section, then he will not get any marks for that question.

Similarly, the question paper of Social Science is divided into four sections. The first section A will be for history questions, section B for geography, section C for political science and section D for economics. Students will also have to make four clear sections in the answer sheet and write answers only in that section where the subject is related to.

CBSE gave these instructions

CBSE has given three major instructions to the students. The first instruction is that it is necessary to have three sections in the science answer sheet and four sections in the social science answer sheet. The second instruction is that answers to any section cannot be written in any other section. The third and most strict instruction is that if a student does this, that answer will not be evaluated. The board has also made it clear that if such a mistake occurs, the situation will not be rectified even through re-checking or re-evaluation. That means there will be every possibility of losing points after a mistake.

CBSE has made a big change for the 10th board exam of 2026. The board has clearly said that now in the science and social science paper, every answer will have to be written in the same section which is prescribed for that subject, if any student writes the answer in the wrong section, then he will not be examined and he will not get any marks. CBSE says that this will make it easier to check the copy and the answers of the children will also be visible clearly and in the correct order.

CBSE made major changes in the rules of 10th board

Under the new rules, the science question paper has been divided into three sections. Section A is for Biology, Section B is for Chemistry and Section C is for Physics. Students will have to write the answer to each question in the same section. Similarly, social science is divided into four parts. History, Geography, Political Science and Economics. If students write the answer to any subject in the wrong part, it will be directly considered wrong.

The board also clarified regarding re-valuation

The board has also clearly stated that such mistakes cannot be corrected later even in re-checking or re-valuation of the copy. That means if the answer is written in the wrong place, students will not be able to do anything. Therefore, children will have to practice this new format from now on. For this reason, CBSE has asked schools to make students used to the new pattern through pre-boards as well as regular practice.

Also read: This is Rajinikanth, not a teacher! Madsaab threw students who were having fun in class over the wall, video going viral

Therefore the decision was taken

CBSE says that with this change, children will have more discipline in writing their answers, mistakes will be reduced and all the copies will be checked in the same manner. The aim of the board is that children write their papers clearly and correctly in the examination without any confusion. Overall, the new rule is simple that the answer has to be written in the section to which it belongs, otherwise the marks will be deducted directly.

The date for class 10th and 12th examination has been released by CBSE Board. Board exams will start from 17 February 2026. In such a situation, it is natural for most of the students to feel stressed and nervous, but if you study with the right routine and strategy, then it is absolutely possible to get good marks. Let us know how to study smart, manage time and eat right, so that you can perform brilliantly in the board exams.

Understand the exam pattern

To get success in any examination, it is very important to understand its pattern. Verify the question papers of CBSE board exams from previous years’ exams. For the preparation of any exam, it is very important to make a daily routine in which morning time should be kept for theory and memorizing subjects because the brain is more active at that time. Read numerical or practical topics in the afternoon and concentrate only on revision at night. Take a break after every 45-50 minutes so that the mind remains fresh. Try to set a small target for every day, such as finishing two chapters today or solving ten questions. In this way, small targets are achieved. By doing this, confidence will increase and preparation will also become stronger.

Pay special attention to smart study

Study smart means you focus on the right topics and understand the type of questions that will come in the exam. Practice old sample papers and previous years’ papers to get familiar with the pattern. Cover difficult topics first and make a list of important formulas and definitions of each unit. Prepare short notes in your notebook for quick revision before the exam.

Take special care of diet and sleep

According to experts, it is very important to be healthy for good preparation. Avoid junk food, excess tea or coffee and drink as much water as possible. Include fruits, salad, curd, dry fruits and light nutritious food in your diet. Take at least seven hours of sleep at night so that both your body and mind can rest. A tired body or a sleepy mind can never focus, hence taking care of your diet is as important as studying.

Make your confidence your strength

It is normal to be nervous during exams, but it is most important to have confidence in yourself. Students who work hard regularly with positive thinking can overcome any challenge. A planned routine, proper eating habits and smart revision are the keys to your success. Hard work always pays off. Just maintain confidence and prepare with all your heart. You will definitely get success.

On hearing the name of the board examinations, many students have mild anxiety and nervousness. But this fear can be overcome with the right plan and preparation. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the tental datesheet of class 10th and 12th board examinations. This time the examinations will start from 17 February 2026 and will be completed in different stages by 15 July 2026. It is the right time for students to decide their preparation strategy from now on. Preparation for the exam is not only studying but the name of the right plan and time management.

First of all, students have to understand their entire syllabus carefully. It is important to know which subject will come and which chapters are more important. First focus on the subjects which are being tested early. It is necessary to make a strong hold in main subjects like Mathematics, Science, English and Social Sciences.

Make a time table for studies every day and also include revision time in it. Preparation of notes and flash cards is very helpful. With this, you can repeat everything as soon as possible at the last moment. Do not forget to solve the question paper of the old year. This helps in understanding the exam pattern and also increases confidence.

5 big and important suggestions

Must pay attention to main subjects – Strengthen grip on mathematics, science and English.

Manage time correctly – First solve easy questions in the exam, then difficult.

Do not spend too much time on less important chapters – Always give priority to important subjects.

Pay attention to rest and health – Will help in adequate sleep, balanced diet and short break studies.

Partner and Group Study – Sometimes studying with a friend, the difficult topic is also understood quickly.

Common subject and exam dates

According to CBSE, the 10th board exam will be held in two phases.

For students of class 10th and 12th, now 75% attendance has been made mandatory for students to appear in the board examination. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed the schools to be strictly followed by this rule. In view of the case of negligence about the attendance of students even after the enrollment of the examination by many schools, the board has decided to take this strict steps.

School recognition will be canceled if disturbances are found

In the clear instructions issued by CBSE, it has been said that the attendance of students in schools should be updated regularly and the schools should also be prepared for inspection from time to time. The recognition of the school can be canceled if disturbances are found in it. At the same time, taking action against the students, they can be denied examination.

Exemption can be available only on this condition

In the circular issued by the Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, it has been clear that students with less than 75% attendance will not be allowed to appear in the examination. However, he has talked about 25% discount in appearances under special circumstances, including medical emergency, participation in national or international level sports competition or any other serious reason.

Necessary documents will have to be given for exemption

For this, students will have to submit appropriate documents. The board has made it clear that this exemption will also be given only if the school certify the situation and submit all the necessary documents to the board in time. The board has also instructed schools that, if a student is constantly absent, it will be necessary to inform his parents through letters, emails or other means. Education experts believe that this step will help in maintaining discipline and continuity in students, while the schools taking dummy admission will be banned as well as dummy admission.
