CBSE has decided to make a big change in the 10th class board examination system, which will now give students an additional opportunity to improve studies and get better marks. Under this new arrangement starting from 2026, there will be tenth board examinations twice a year.

Board exam twice a year

The first exam will be held every year in mid -February, which will be mandatory for all students. Students who pass this exam, if they want, can improve their marks in the second examination to be held in May. In this second exam, they can sit in maximum three subjects of subjects like science, mathematics, social science and language.

Who will not get a chance?

If a student fails in three or more subjects in the first examination, then he will not get a chance to sit in the second exam. Such students will be put in the “necessary recurrence” category, that is, they will have to take the exam again next year. However, the students whose result falls in the “compartment” category can give the paper for the second time under the compartment examination.

Special provisions will also be applicable

CBSE has also ensured that students participating in sports, students studying in winter and children with special needs also get equal opportunities and flexibility. For this, there will be internal assessment once before the main examination. The special thing is that the syllabus of both the first and second examinations will be based on the course of the whole year, so that students do not face any kind of inequality.

Forward procedure

The results of the first examination will be announced in April, while the result of the second examination will come in June. Students can take temporary admission in 11th grade based on the marks of their first exam, but the final admission will be confirmed only after the results of the second examination. Apart from this, the qualification certificate will also be given only after the second examination.

Why changed?

CBSE believes that this “two-examination system” will give students more flexibility, maintain the continuity of learning and reduce the stress caused by the same big examination at the end of the year. This change is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) guidelines and will help in the overall development of students

In the last few days, there has been a lot of changes in the CBSE board examination pattern. Now the board has approved the implementation of Open Book Assessment in Class 9 under NCFSE 2023. This change will start from academic session 2026-27. This concept is completely new for the students and they do not know anything about it. In many countries, it has been going on for many years.

Open book exam is not a new experiment. It started several hundred years ago in Law colleges in Europe. After many years, it gradually spread to other colleges and universities. In today’s time, the system is adopted up to high school levels in the United Kingdom’s A-Lvel Examination, most of the universities in the Netherlands, some colleges in the US, Singapore and Hong Kong, and in some states of Canada.

Also read- CO Anuj Chaudhary, who came into the limelight from Sambhal violence, became a big gift, ASP; Now you will get so much salary

What is the open book exam?

In this system, students can use books, notes and other study materials during the examination. It seems very easy to hear. For example, the question came and found the book and found the answer. But the real challenge starts from here. Here it is not useful to copy the line from only the book. The numbers will be found only when the student understands the answer and writes in his language.

Students should know which topic the question is related to, what is its concept and how you can explain it in your words. Such an examination tests the deep understanding, analysis capacity and practical knowledge of the students.

Focus on more understanding than rote

According to reports, most of the students of the country take the exam by hitting it. But this method proves to be useless in the open book system. Here it is to understand the topic well and make its true meaning. This is the reason that this system can get students out of the habit of rote.

Also read- Candidates out of the final list will get a new opportunity, even after passing in UPSC, this scheme will open the way

What are its benefits

The habit of rote will be less, students will study with understanding.

The ability to think and analyze will increase. Use of brain will be necessary to solve every question.

In the real world too, we take reference to solve the problem, the same thing is taught here.

Due to the book being together, there is less fear in the mind that do not forget anything.

These can be damaged

For students of class 10th and 12th, now 75% attendance has been made mandatory for students to appear in the board examination. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed the schools to be strictly followed by this rule. In view of the case of negligence about the attendance of students even after the enrollment of the examination by many schools, the board has decided to take this strict steps.

School recognition will be canceled if disturbances are found

In the clear instructions issued by CBSE, it has been said that the attendance of students in schools should be updated regularly and the schools should also be prepared for inspection from time to time. The recognition of the school can be canceled if disturbances are found in it. At the same time, taking action against the students, they can be denied examination.

Exemption can be available only on this condition

In the circular issued by the Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, it has been clear that students with less than 75% attendance will not be allowed to appear in the examination. However, he has talked about 25% discount in appearances under special circumstances, including medical emergency, participation in national or international level sports competition or any other serious reason.

Necessary documents will have to be given for exemption

For this, students will have to submit appropriate documents. The board has made it clear that this exemption will also be given only if the school certify the situation and submit all the necessary documents to the board in time. The board has also instructed schools that, if a student is constantly absent, it will be necessary to inform his parents through letters, emails or other means. Education experts believe that this step will help in maintaining discipline and continuity in students, while the schools taking dummy admission will be banned as well as dummy admission.

The results of 10th and 12th class will be released by the Central Board of Secondary Education very soon. Millions of students are waiting for the results. The wait for these students can end anytime now. But the board has taken a big decision before the date of release of the result. Let’s know what is that decision …

In fact, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a big change in the revaluation process to be held after the 10th and 12th board examinations. This change has been made with the aim of giving students more transparency and self -sufficiency. Now students will be the first to see photocopies of their tested answer books and only then they will be able to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation.

Under the new system, students will first get photocopies of their evaluation answer sheets from CBSE. After this, they will be able to see how many marks have been received for which answer and how much has been cut in which question. This transparency will help them decide whether to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation.

How did the process happen earlier?

Earlier, students first had to apply for verification of marks. After that they could get photocopy and then the process of re-evaluation started in the final stages. But now it has been changed so that students can already understand why and how they have got the points. CBSE says that this change has been made to give more clarity to students and reduce assessment confusion. This will help the students to take the correct decision of re-evaluation.

CBSE board examinations have ended in the first week of April. Now millions of candidates are eagerly waiting for their results. There were speculations on social media and many websites that CBSE could declare the results of the board exam on April 20. But this did not happen and the waiting clocks increased more. Today we will tell you that CBSE will take more time to release its results and how long it is likely to be released.

When will the results be released?

The official date of CBSE class 10th and 12th results has not been announced yet, but according to previous years trends and media reports, the results are the possibility of coming in the first or second week of May. For this, you have to look at the dates of the last few years which are like this. However, to know when the results will be declared, on what day it will be declared, you have to be completely connected to the CBSE website and social media page.

This is the trend of the last three years!

The examinations ended on 26 April in 2022 and the results were released on 22 July. Apart from this, the examinations ended on April 5 in the year 2023, while the results were released on April 12. Apart from this, if we talk about 2024 and 2025, then the examinations ended on April 2 respectively and the results were released on 13 May. So at the same time, the examinations have ended on April 4 this year, then the date of estimate results may be in the second week of May.

<Div Class ="gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken strict action against Dummy schools and has abolished the affiliation of 21 schools in Delhi and Rajasthan. Apart from this, six other schools have been downgraded. The board has taken this step against the schools that allowed students to appear in board examinations instead of appearing in regular classes, which was adversely affecting the quality of education."gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> & nbsp; </v>

<div class ="gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> Dummy schools are institutions where students do not appear regularly in classrooms, but only participate in board examinations. Often, these students depend on coaching institutes to prepare for competitive examinations like engineering or medical and do not make minimum attendance in the school. This practice is against the basic spirit of the education system and hinders the overall development of the students."gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> CBSE action </v> <dev>"gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> & nbsp; </v>

<div class ="gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> According to media reports, CBSE conducted surprise inspections in 29 schools of Delhi, Bengaluru, Varanasi, Bihar, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh in December 2024. It was found in these inspections that in many schools, students were not present in regular classes, which indicates dummy entry. Based on these findings, the board issued a show cause notice to 18 schools and canceled the affiliation of 21 schools."gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;">
Regular presence required </v>

"gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> & nbsp; </v>

<div class ="gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> According to CBSE rules, it is necessary for students to appear regularly in classrooms and fulfill the condition of minimum attendance. The Ministry of Education has also clarified that action will be continued against schools to prevent the practice of dummy entry. Schools have been instructed to strictly follow the rules related to attendance and encourage students to participate in regular classes."gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> & nbsp; </v>

<div class ="gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> steps towards improving education system"gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> & nbsp; </v>

<div class ="gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> Dummy entry problem has become a serious issue in the country, where students do not go to schools and start going directly to coaching centers. CBSE has started taking tough steps to prevent this trend, which can improve the quality of the education system and give students the opportunity for overall development."gmail_default" Style ="Text-Align: justify;"> & nbsp; </v>
