The application is for both new scholarships and renewal of already running scholarship. The last date for application has been fixed on 31 October 2025.

Under this scheme, 82,000 new students are given scholarships every year. This includes courses like medical, engineering, graduation and post-graduation. Students already benefiting can also renew on time.

Talking about financial help, students who are graduated are given Rs 12,000 every year for the first three years. At the same time, students doing post-graduation are given Rs 20,000 per year. This amount gives students a big relief not only in studies but also in everyday expenses.

However, not everyone gets the benefit of this scholarship. Some conditions have been fixed for this. The student is studying in a recognized college or university and the institute should be associated with AICTE or a recognized regulatory body.

Also, the student should not get the benefit of any other government scholarship or fee waiver. The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh.

Apart from applying, timely verification of documents is also necessary. CBSE has instructed the nodal officers of the institutes to check all the applications on time and mark it if there is any mistake or shortage. If the verification is not done on time, then the application will not be considered valid.
