After the results of board exams are declared, students usually seem happy or disappointed about their marks. But this time a student did not just question the numbers, but put forward such a thing which attracted the attention of the entire country. The matter escalated so much that it started being discussed from social media to politics. Ultimately CBSE itself had to come forward and accept its mistake.

In fact, 17-year-old student Vedant Srivastava, after seeing his Physics marks, demanded re-examination. But when he got the copy of the answer sheet, he was surprised. According to him, the answer sheet shown to him did not look like his. A controversy started from here which caught the attention of millions of people.

Vedanta’s marks in Physics were much less than expected. In such a situation, as per the rules, he asked for a copy of the answer sheet so that he could see where the mistake had happened. But when the answer sheet came in front of him, he felt something strange.

Vedanta claimed that the handwriting in the answer sheet was not his. Not only the handwriting, but the way of writing the answers, the use of words and the style of the entire paper was also different. He felt that something big had gone wrong. After this he expressed his views on social media and asked the question as to which answer sheet was checked based on his roll number. This post of his went viral in no time and reached millions of people.

Got support on social media, but trolling also happened

As the matter came into discussion, people’s reactions also started coming. Many people supported the student and demanded a fair investigation. On the other hand, some people started raising questions on Vedant and his family. According to the family, he had to face a lot of trolling on social media. Some people even said that he is anti-national. Many users also raised questions about the authenticity of his social media accounts.

“We are not Pakistanis” – emotional reaction of the family

After several days of criticism and allegations, Vedant’s brother Siddhant shared a post on social media. He thanked those who supported the family in difficult times. He also wrote in clear words that his family is Indian and he is being unfairly targeted. His statement quickly went viral and became a topic of discussion among people.

How did the whole truth come out?

Siddhant told that the family had created a social media account only so that they could convey their message to the people. He said that after having doubts about the marks of Physics, he had asked for copies of answer sheets of many subjects. When the answer sheet of Physics was compared with the copies of other subjects, the difference became clearly visible. The family claimed that this was the moment when they realized that a big mistake had been made.

CBSE finally admitted its mistake

According to the reports, CBSE investigated the entire matter amid continuously arising questions and increasing pressure. After verification, the board sent the correct Physics answer sheet to the student through email. The board also said that the matter has been reviewed and necessary changes will be made in the result where necessary.
