An important news has come out for the students of CBSE Board. The Board has prepared a new portal for the process of re-evaluation of answer sheets and marks verification. This portal has been approved by the team of experts of IIT after security check. After this, the way has been cleared for re-verification of copies of thousands of students.

CBSE removed Coempt EduTeck
CBSE has excluded Coempt EduTeck from the re-evaluation process. The company was earlier looking after the technical work related to scanning and evaluation of answer sheets. After some flaws came to light in the security investigation, the board decided to discontinue his services. Now the entire work of re-evaluation will be done through a new and more secure system, which has been approved by IIT experts.

New system designed keeping security in mind

CBSE has laid special emphasis on security while preparing the new portal. IIT experts say that many additional security features have been added to the new system. The working method of the portal is the same as before, but from security point of view it has been made very strong so that there is no cyber threat of any kind.

Many institutions worked together

Many institutions have contributed together in preparing the new portal. Digital India Corporation, IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur played an important role in this. While on one hand work was done to improve technology and strengthen security, on the other hand the weaknesses of the system were discovered and removed.

CBSE took data under its control

To further improve the security, CBSE has transferred all the data and records related to evaluation to the server under its control. With this, the information and examination records of the students will now be directly monitored by the Board. It is believed that this will significantly reduce the possibility of data leak or unauthorized access.

Thousands of students applied

The last date to apply for re-evaluation and marks verification was June 7. According to the board’s data, till June 4, more than 70 thousand applications had been received. Among these, thousands of students applied for marks verification, while a large number of students demanded revaluation of their answer sheets.

With the launch of the new portal, students will benefit from a more secure and transparent process. This will increase confidence in the verification of answer sheets and students will be assured that their copies are being evaluated through a secure system.

After the release of the results of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2026, many questions have been raised regarding the evaluation process across the country. A large number of students have expressed objection to their marks and asked for a copy of the answer sheets. Meanwhile, the Central Board of Secondary Education is starting the process of re-evaluation and answer sheet verification from today. Board figures show that this time more than 4 lakh students have applied to see their copies, while a total demand for more than 11 lakh answer sheets has been registered.

At the same time, the copy verification process was to start on the CBSE portal from today. But now maintenance work is going on on the website, a message is coming that the portal will be available soon.

Record number of applications arrived

According to CBSE, this year 4,04,319 students have applied to get copies of their evaluated answer sheets. These students demanded a total of 11,31,961 answer sheets. The board has so far made available about 8.98 lakh answer sheets through digital medium. This number is considered much higher than the previous years and from this the increasing concerns of the students can be gauged.

Questions raised on OSM system

This year, CBSE used the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system in the evaluation of answer sheets. Under this system, examiners check the scanned copies on a digital platform. The board says that this has made the evaluation process fast and transparent, but after the results came, many students raised questions on this system. Many students claimed that they got much less marks than expected. At the same time, some students alleged that some answers in their copies were not checked or there were technical flaws in the scanned copies. Many such screenshots and complaints also went viral on social media, due to which the matter came into further discussion.

CBSE made a big change by giving relief in fees

Following complaints from students and parents, CBSE has also changed the fees for post-result services. Now students can get their scanned answer sheet by paying Rs 100 per subject. A fee of Rs 100 per subject has also been fixed for verification of marks. Whereas for re-evaluation, fee will be charged on per question basis. The board says that the purpose of reduction in fee is to provide relief to the students and to give them an opportunity to check their answer sheets properly.

Who can apply for re-evaluation?

Students who are not satisfied with their marks can first download their scanned answer sheet. After this, you can carefully see the answers and the process of adding marks. If any question has not been checked or a mistake is seen in giving marks, then students can apply for verification and revaluation.

CBSE has clarified that after re-evaluation, marks may increase, decrease or may remain the same. Only the marks released after revaluation will be considered final.

Debate continues regarding transparency

Despite the start of the re-evaluation process, the debate regarding the OSM system is not stopping. Student organizations, parents and education experts are continuously demanding more transparency in the evaluation process. Many believe that digital evaluation is the need of the future, but to make it fully effective, technical and administrative shortcomings need to be addressed.

How to apply for CBSE Re-evaluation

• Go to the official website of CBSE cbse.gov.in.
• Click on the link “Re-evaluation/Verification of Marks 2026” available on the homepage.
• Login by entering roll number, school number, admit card ID and other required details.
• Select the subject for which you want to see the answer sheet and pay the prescribed fee.
• Download the scanned answer sheet and check it carefully.
• If any answer has not been checked or an error is seen in giving marks then apply for Verification of Marks.
• If not satisfied, submit application for re-evaluation within the prescribed time limit.

CBSE Re-evaluation 2026 Portal: After the declaration of CBSE 12th board exam results, lakhs of students were waiting for the re-evaluation and verification process regarding their marks. The board had earlier announced that the re-evaluation portal will be restarted from June 1, 2026, so that students can check their answer sheets, number verification and apply for re-evaluation, but the portal for which students were waiting for many days, could not be fully functional even on time. From morning till late evening, thousands of students tried to login to the portal, but many faced difficulty in opening the website, while many students faced problems like error messages and unresponsive links. In such a situation, both anxiety and resentment have increased among students and parents.

The date was extended from May 29 to June 1.

CBSE had earlier announced to start the re-evaluation and verification portal from May 29, 2026, however, later the board extended its date to June 1. At that time the board had said that it wanted to provide a more transparent and technical glitch-free system to the students. For this reason the launch of the portal was postponed for a few days. The students were hopeful that after getting additional time, the portal would work without any problem, but it could not happen.

When was the launch announced?

CBSE shared information on June 1 at around 2 pm on social media platform X that the re-evaluation portal will be started soon. After this, the students could not see the active link of the application on the website for a long time. Many students complained that they are continuously checking the website, but the application process is not starting. Due to this, there is confusion among the students as to when the applications will be accepted.

CBSE once again broke the trust of students

Before this, technical problems have come to light regarding the post-result portal of CBSE. Earlier, when the portal to get scanned answer sheets was opened, students had complained of many problems. During that time, some students were seeing blank pages, many links were not working and some had to face captcha related problems. Now similar problems are being seen with the re-evaluation portal also.

Increased anxiety due to limited time

Students are given limited time for the process of re-evaluation and verification. In such a situation, the portal not working on time is increasing the worries of the students. There are many students who are in doubt about their marks and want to apply as soon as possible, but due to lack of access to the portal, their precious time is being wasted. Parents also say that the board should have completely fixed all the technical arrangements first.
