The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued important guidelines regarding practical examination, project and internal assessment of class 10th and 12th. These instructions are very important for students, schools and teachers, so that the examination process can be completed without any hassle. The board has clearly said that all schools should follow the prescribed rules completely, so that no student is harmed.

All these guidelines issued by CBSE are available on the official website of the board cbse.gov.in. The aim of the board is to conduct practical examinations with complete transparency and proper arrangements.

What is important?

First of all, the board has asked the schools to ensure that sufficient number of practical answer books reach the schools before the practical examination. It has been seen many times that there is a shortage of copies on the day of examination, due to which both students and teachers face problems. This time the board does not want any kind of negligence.

Along with this, schools have been asked to complete all the necessary preparations related to laboratories in advance. This includes cleanliness of the lab, necessary equipment, chemicals, machines and other materials. The board has clearly said that there should not be any kind of technical or resource related problem during the examination.

Special instructions for these children

Keeping in mind the convenience of children, CBSE has also issued special instructions for children with special needs i.e. CWSN (Children With Special Needs). Schools will have to make separate and easy arrangements for such students, so that they can participate in practicals, projects and internal assessments without any pressure. This includes seating arrangements, time relaxation and other necessary facilities.

This work will have to be done

Another important instruction is that schools will have to upload the marks of practical exams daily. The board has also said that before uploading the marks, please check what are the maximum marks fixed for practical, project and internal assessment. The responsibility of the school will be fixed if wrong marks are uploaded.

What did the board say?

CBSE has also clarified that all schools will have to complete the process of practical, project and internal assessment only between January 1, 2026 and February 14, 2026. There will be no permission to conduct the examination on any date outside this. The board says that it is important for all schools to follow the deadline.

When will the board exams be held?

Meanwhile, CBSE has also made changes in the datesheet of board exam 2026. According to the revised schedule, the class 10th main examination will start from 17 February 2026 and continue till 11 March 2026. Whereas, class 12th examination will be conducted from 17th February 2026 till 10th April 2026.

The recognition of Neerja Modi School located in Jaipur has been canceled by the CBSE Board. On November 1 last, a student studying in the fourth class in the same school committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor. After which the parents of the student had also lodged a complaint regarding action against the school. But now the question is that when board exams are looming, what will happen to the students studying in school? Let us know…

Amyra, a fourth class student, had committed suicide. After this case, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a big and strict step. However, CBSE has made it clear that special arrangements have been made to ensure that no student’s education is spoiled.

Talking about the students studying in class 10th and 12th, the board has said that the children do not need to worry about anything. These children will be able to appear for their board exams from this school in February-March 2026. Their school code, examination center and all necessary arrangements will remain the same as before.

Also read – CBSE Board Exam 2026: CBSE changed the exam date of some subjects, the board issued a new notice; know

Will not get entry

According to media reports, but according to the rules, students studying in 9th and 11th class will not be able to be promoted to the next class i.e. 10th or 12th from the same school. Such students will have to take admission in some other CBSE affiliated school by 31 March 2026. However, the board has said that these children will easily get places in nearby schools. Neerja Modi School will not be able to admit any new student.

State government will decide

There is concern among parents even about children studying in smaller classes i.e. from first to eighth. The education of these children will now be conducted under the rules of Rajasthan Education Department. The state government will decide whether the school will run these classes further or the children will be transferred to nearby government or private schools.

Found these flaws

According to the board report, there were not enough CCTV cameras in the school. Due to which monitoring was not possible. The arrangements for safety net, railing etc. on the upper floors were inadequate. The school’s counseling system was also not working well regarding the mental health of the students.

expressed gratitude to the board

CBSE has taken action on Neerja Modi School. Amyra’s family has expressed gratitude to the board on this. Amyra’s maternal uncle Sahil said that we thank CBSE for taking action against the school. CBSE is the first institution which has taken any action in this entire matter. He also said that the recognition of classes one to eight comes under the Rajasthan Education Department. When a school is not safe for children in classes 9 to 12, that school cannot be safe for children in classes 1 to 8. Therefore, now the education department should take some concrete action in this matter.

Taking major action in the suicide of a student in Jaipur, CBSE has canceled the recognition of Neerja Modi School. CBSE has canceled the recognition of the school due to violation of rules and lapses. CBSE said that strict penalty will be imposed on the school for gross violation of student safety rules.

CBSE had formed a two-member committee in this matter. This committee has now submitted its report. After inspecting the school, the committee highlighted many shortcomings in terms of security in the campus.

The board said the school deserves the harshest punishment and students cannot be allowed to continue their studies in such an unsafe environment. The girl, studying in class four, had allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the school on November 1. An inquiry panel set up by the CBSE to probe the student’s death had pointed out several lapses on the part of the school, including persistent harassment of the girl, and said her parents had raised the issue with teachers for the first time in July 2024.

Contacted the teacher 5 times in the last 45 minutes

The panel found that the class teacher failed to take any action regarding the child’s distress, even though the child had contacted the teacher five times in the last 45 minutes of her life. Looking at the investigation report, available records and the response of the school, it is clear that the school has seriously violated the mandatory provisions of the Affiliation Bye-Laws.

‘Such negligence is not acceptable’

A senior CBSE official said that after considering all the facts, it is clear that the counseling system and grievance redressal system in the school has completely failed to resolve such issues. Such careless actions and violations are unacceptable for any affiliated school.

The student committed suicide on November 1

Let us tell you that on November 1, Amyra, a nine-year-old student of class six at Neerja Modi School in Mansarovar, Jaipur, committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of the school. After this there was a huge uproar in the capital Jaipur. Now after about two months, taking major action in this matter, CBSE has canceled the recognition of the school.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a big change regarding the Class 10 board examination to be held in the year 2026. The board has issued new guidelines in this regard to all the affiliated schools, which are especially related to the examination of science and social science subjects. The purpose of these changes is said to be to make the examination process more systematic and to prevent mistakes in the evaluation of answer sheets.

According to CBSE, the Class 10 Science question paper will now be divided into three clear sections. It will have separate sections for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Similarly, the question paper of Social Science will be in four parts, in which History, Geography, Political Science and Economics will be kept in separate sections. The board has made it clear that this new pattern will be implemented from the board exam of 2026.

What will need to be done?

The board has also given strict instructions to the students regarding writing answers. Students will have to divide their answer sheet into three parts for Science and four parts for Social Science. Answers to each section will have to be written in the space designated for that section. CBSE has said that if a student writes the answers of one section in another section or mixes the answers of different sections, then such answers will not be evaluated and no marks will be given for the same.

The CBSE circular also states that such mistakes will not be accepted even during verification or revaluation after the declaration of exam results. That is, if the answer is written in the wrong section, there will be no chance to correct it later. The board believes that this will bring discipline among the students and the examination process will be easier and cleaner.

The board gave strict instructions

The board has instructed schools to familiarize students with this new examination pattern in advance. Schools have been asked to make students practice writing section-wise answers during their studies, so that they do not face any problem during board exams. Along with this, CBSE has advised the students to check the latest sample question papers available on the academic website.

CBSE has also said that the sample papers will help students understand the format of the question paper, number of sections, types of questions and marks distribution. By looking at the marking scheme released with the sample paper, it also becomes clear how full marks can be obtained by writing the answers. The board has appealed to the students to rely only on the official website of CBSE for correct information.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued very important guidelines for Class 10 board examination 2026. These instructions will be mandatory for all those students who are going to appear for the board exams next year. This time the board has completely changed the way of writing in the question paper and answer sheet of both science and social science subjects. The new guideline is also available on the official website of CBSE cbse.gov.in.

From this year, CBSE has divided the question papers of Class 10 Science and Social Science into different parts, so that the answers of the students can be written in a systematic manner and there is no confusion in checking the copy. Earlier, students used to write the answers of these subjects in the same order, due to which many times the answers got confused. Now the board has implemented strict and clear rules to eliminate this problem.

Question paper in three parts

According to CBSE, the science question paper will be in three parts. First of all, there will be questions from Biology in Section A, followed by Chemistry in Section B and finally Physics questions will be given in Section C. Students will also have to write their answers in the answer book in the same order by creating three separate sections. If a student mistakenly writes the answer of Physics in the Biology section, then he will not get any marks for that question.

Similarly, the question paper of Social Science is divided into four sections. The first section A will be for history questions, section B for geography, section C for political science and section D for economics. Students will also have to make four clear sections in the answer sheet and write answers only in that section where the subject is related to.

CBSE gave these instructions

CBSE has given three major instructions to the students. The first instruction is that it is necessary to have three sections in the science answer sheet and four sections in the social science answer sheet. The second instruction is that answers to any section cannot be written in any other section. The third and most strict instruction is that if a student does this, that answer will not be evaluated. The board has also made it clear that if such a mistake occurs, the situation will not be rectified even through re-checking or re-evaluation. That means there will be every possibility of losing points after a mistake.

CBSE has made a big change for the 10th board exam of 2026. The board has clearly said that now in the science and social science paper, every answer will have to be written in the same section which is prescribed for that subject, if any student writes the answer in the wrong section, then he will not be examined and he will not get any marks. CBSE says that this will make it easier to check the copy and the answers of the children will also be visible clearly and in the correct order.

CBSE made major changes in the rules of 10th board

Under the new rules, the science question paper has been divided into three sections. Section A is for Biology, Section B is for Chemistry and Section C is for Physics. Students will have to write the answer to each question in the same section. Similarly, social science is divided into four parts. History, Geography, Political Science and Economics. If students write the answer to any subject in the wrong part, it will be directly considered wrong.

The board also clarified regarding re-valuation

The board has also clearly stated that such mistakes cannot be corrected later even in re-checking or re-valuation of the copy. That means if the answer is written in the wrong place, students will not be able to do anything. Therefore, children will have to practice this new format from now on. For this reason, CBSE has asked schools to make students used to the new pattern through pre-boards as well as regular practice.

Also read: This is Rajinikanth, not a teacher! Madsaab threw students who were having fun in class over the wall, video going viral

Therefore the decision was taken

CBSE says that with this change, children will have more discipline in writing their answers, mistakes will be reduced and all the copies will be checked in the same manner. The aim of the board is that children write their papers clearly and correctly in the examination without any confusion. Overall, the new rule is simple that the answer has to be written in the section to which it belongs, otherwise the marks will be deducted directly.

After the New Education Policy 2020, the method of teaching in schools is continuously being changed. Now the emphasis is not just on memorization, but on understanding how much the child is actually able to understand a subject. For this purpose, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to start SAFAL Assessment across the country. This is a kind of test in which it will be assessed how much the children’s ability to understand has increased, how they think and their ability to solve a situation. This examination is not designed to burden children, but to improve their learning process.

CBSE has announced that this examination for the academic session 2025-26 will start from December 8. It will be completely in pen-paper mode and will be organized in all the schools of the country. This time students from class 6 to 9 will appear in the examination. The board has sent guidelines for this to the schools and has also made a link available, through which schools will be able to download the OMR sheet a day before the examination.

What is the purpose of successful evaluation?

The objectives of successful assessment are to reduce the habit of rote memorization, to check the actual understanding and concepts of children, to identify their thinking power, to test how much they are able to apply the topics taught in the class.

Education has to be made more useful and effective. CBSE has clearly said that this is not a competitive examination. The marks of the students will not be sent anywhere but the schools themselves will analyze the results so that they can know in which areas the children have good understanding and where improvement is needed.

Complete exam schedule

According to this complete schedule of the examination, the examinations of class 9 students will start from December 8, in which science examination will be held on the first day, language examination on the second day and mathematics examination on the third day. Similarly, children of class 6 will give their examinations from December 11, where first the environmental science test, then language test on December 15 and mathematics test will be taken on December 16. In these examinations, it will only be seen whether the students are able to understand the questions and answer them or are just writing memorized answers.

The event will be held in two languages

According to CBSE, the examination will be conducted in both Hindi and English medium. OMR sheets for the examination will also be made available to the schools, which will be printed and distributed among the students on the day of the examination.
