The 71st National Awards were announced on Friday (1 August, 2025). After spending 33 years unmatched in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan received his first best actor’s National Award. Kamal Haasan congratulated
South Indian actor Kamal Haasan also congratulated Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Massey and Rani Mukherjee for winning the National Award. He wrote on X- ‘Congratulations on receiving the National Award for Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan, you have been needed for a long time, the way you have an influence in world cinema.’ At the same time, Kamal Haasan wrote for Rani Mukherjee- ‘You should have been identified at the national level for that a character who was very vivid and delicate.’
