There was rain in Tharali, Uttarakhand since late evening, after which the cloud erupted at one o’clock in the night. Due to which heavy debris entered the tehsil headquarters, Radibagad and Chepado.

SDM housing has also suffered a lot of damage due to cloudburst. The debris entered here for four feet. Due to cloudburst in Tunari Gadre, there was a huge devastation in Radibgarh including Chepado. Debris entered many houses and the vehicles are buried in the rubble.

Due to the rains on the mountains, the water level is increasing rapidly in the suffering and pranmati rivers of Chamoli district. Due to which there is danger in the low -lying areas.

According to the information, a lot of debris has come in Tharali Bazar, Kotdeep Tehsil campus. In Sagwara village, a girl and an elderly man are reported to have been buried in the rubble.

Dozens of roads connecting various villages of Tharali assembly to the main market have also been disrupted. Some shops in the face market have been damaged due to debris. Tharali Gwaladam Marg has also stopped due to debris.

Due to the bad weather, a holiday has been announced in all the schools of Tharali, Dewal and Narayanbagad today.

District Magistrate Chamoli Sandeep Tiwari is going to the Tharali disaster affected area and inspecting the opportunity himself. Relief and rescue work is being done, duty of all officers and employees has been imposed.

Arrangements have been made to hold the affected people in a safe place. The team of SDRF, NDRF and Police Force is working on a war footing on the spot. Work is being done to smooth blocked routes

Chief Medical Officer Chamoli Dr. Abhishek Gupta informed that the team of Tharali Disaster Health Department has been deployed on the spot. Here 4 medical officers, 6 staff nurses, 1 pharmacist and ambulance have been installed.

The disaster management team is constantly engaged in relief and rescue operations in the area. Due to bad weather, rescue operation is facing trouble.
