Five accused have been arrested in the grenade attack on BJP headquarters in Chandigarh. Punjab Police and Chandigarh Police have arrested five accused in a joint operation. The arrested accused involved in the conspiracy of the incident are Balwinder Lal alias Shammi, Jasbir Singh alias Jassi, Charanjeet Singh alias Channi, Rubal Chauhan and Manjeet alias Abhijeet Sharma.

Giving information, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that a grenade and some bullets have been recovered from the accused. The two main accused who carried out the attack have been identified. Raids are going on for his arrest.

Initial investigation has revealed the conspiracy of Pakistan’s ISI. Foreign handlers sitting in Portugal and Germany have been identified, on whose instructions this attack took place. Many sub-modules and networks were used for the attack.
