Shubhendu Adhikari has said that the murder took place because he was close to Shubhendu. Because Subhendu Adhikari defeated Mamata Banerjee in Bhawanipur. This could be the reason behind the murder. How did the whole incident happen?

The incident happened late at night. When shocking news came from Bengal. Here Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA Chandranath Rath was shot dead. There is panic in the entire area after the incident. The incident took place at Dohariya turn of Madhyamgram in North 24 Parganas district. At that time Chandranath Rath was present in his car. Were near my house.

Police is engaged in investigation in this matter. The focus of the investigation is a silver colored vehicle. Due to this, the vehicle of Chandranath Rath was stopped. It was around 10:20 pm that Chandranath’s car turned towards the street of his house. Just 100 meters from the house, the attackers parked this silver colored car (WB 74 AK 2270) in front of Chandranath Rath’s car. Due to this, Chandranath Rath’s vehicle stopped. Taking advantage of the opportunity the attackers attacked them.

Violence has continued in West Bengal since the results of the assembly elections. On Wednesday (May 6), Chandranath Rath, personal assistant (PA) of BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari, was shot dead. During this time, another person present with him got injured due to bullet injury and has been admitted to the nursing home. The injured person is being treated at Vivacity Nursing Home located at Madhyamgram Crossing. Trinamool Congress (TMC) has demanded a CBI inquiry into this incident.

What did Sayoni Ghosh say?

TMC MP Sayoni Ghosh strongly condemned the incident by posting on Instagram on Thursday. He wrote, “The incident with Chandranath Rath is extremely worrying. Regardless of political and ideological differences, regardless of who is in power, it is the responsibility of all of us to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of every person living in this state.”

He further said that no one’s life should be lost like this. There is an appeal to the police administration that strict action should be taken against every criminal involved in the violence that has taken place in the last few days and strict measures should be taken to stop it.

Trinamool Congress condemned the murder

Apart from this, a post was also made on X by Trinamool Congress demanding strict action against the accused. The post on X said that we strongly condemn the brutal murder of Chandranath Rath that took place tonight in Madhyagram.

The post made by TMC said that it strongly condemns the killing of three TMC workers in the violence allegedly carried out by BJP-backed miscreants in the last three days, while the Model Code of Conduct is in force in the state.

TMC demanded CBI investigation

The post further said that we demand maximum possible action in this case, including a court-monitored CBI investigation, so that the culprits can be identified and brought to justice without any delay.
