The reaction of former BJP state president and state minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has come to light on the ongoing rift between the factions of Mahayuti in Maharashtra. Talking to the media in Mumbai on Friday (December 5), Bawankule said that some incidents are happening. At the local level, BJP workers are joining Shiv Sena and Shiv Sena workers are joining BJP. But it is not that Eknath Shinde’s workers are damaging BJP and Ajit Dada’s workers are damaging the BJP government.

There will be some conflict, there are three parties – Bawankule

The BJP leader said, “There will be some clashes at the local level. But it is not that the workers in Maharashtra are fighting. Our workers are not going to cut each other like Mahavikas Aghadi.” He said that there are three parties in the alliance. At the local level, all the corporators want to go to the Zilla Panchayat and Zilla Parishad. Because of this, workers are coming to BJP.

Along with this, he said, “When Shiv Sena was in power, BJP stood with Eknath Shinde with full confidence. We kept the same faith in our workers that our government is going to strengthen Maharashtra by doing good work. Our 1 crore 51 lakh workers are standing with responsibility with Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis.”

Shiv Sena-Ajit Dada workers are firmly with the government- Bawankule

Bawankule further said, “Even in the government of Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra BJP is completely standing with the government. Besides, workers of Shiv Sena and Ajit Dada are also standing strongly with the government.”

On the financial burden on the state, he said, “The latest burden is of Rs 32,000 crore. Farmers suffered losses due to floods. Due to this, a bit of a crisis was created. But the government has dealt with it. No one knew that this was going to happen. It has caused some loss. Due to this, we slowed down a bit. But the way the banks helped, we have recovered from it.”

The atmosphere of politics and movement has been hot for the last few days regarding Maratha reservation in Maharashtra. The government has taken some important decisions after the agitation led by Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange. Meanwhile, State Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule made a statement on Thursday that the government is completely cautious on the issue and will ensure that there is no conflict between Maratha and OBC communities regarding the matter of reservation.

Jarang ended his 5 -day protest in Mumbai on Tuesday after the government accepted most of his demands. Their demands include providing a certificate of Kunbi caste to eligible Marathas, so that they will be eligible for the reservation benefits given to OBCs.

The Maratha community has been demanding reservation for a long time. The government has now arranged that the Marathas whose old documents or records are available will be helped to get a clan certificate.

Kunbi and OBC dispute

Kunbi is a traditional farming community that is included in the OBC category in Maharashtra, but OBC community is opposing the inclusion of Marathas in this category.

OBC leaders say that if the Marathas are directly included in this category, then the share of the real beneficiaries of the OBC class will be reduced. This is the reason that there is a situation of tension between the two communities on this issue.

OBC leaders concern

Many leaders of the OBC community, including senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chhagan Bhujbal, have expressed concern that the move will harm the interests of the OBC class.

The OBC class argues that already their reservation opportunities are limited, in such a situation, if the Marathas are also included in it, then their children’s jobs and education will be reduced further.

Committees formed by the government

Bawankule said, “The state government is completely cautious. Two committees have been formed to consider the concerns of the OBC community and to ensure justice for both Marathas and OBCs. Representatives of all political parties have been included, and the government will ensure that there is no conflict between the communities.

It is clear that the government does not want to take decisions in any hasty at the moment. The way ahead will be set only by taking the opinion of both sides.

He said that “the government has decided that the Marathas will be assisted in obtaining OBC certificate on the basis of old records.” In Vidarbha and Marathwada, Hyderabad Gazette will be examined so that eligible persons can get certificates. ”

In Maharashtra, the atmosphere has been hot once again regarding Maratha reservation. Maratha agitator Manoj Jarang has announced that he will travel to Mumbai on the first day of Ganeshotsav and sit on a fast in the capital. Meanwhile, the state revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has given strict warning to Jarang that he should agitate, but do not use inflammatory and objectionable language.

Not tolerated comments on women and family- Bawankule

Bawankule clearly said that it is everyone’s right to agitate, but personal attacks and abuses will not be tolerated at all.

He said, “Talking about demolishing the government elected with 3.17 crore votes and more than 51% mandate is going to be angry. Maharashtra will not tolerate personal attacks. Especially objectionable comments will not be accepted on the families of our mothers and sisters and leaders.”

Bawankule said that the government does not want to suppress anyone’s voice and everyone has the freedom to agitate. But he reiterated that the movement should be within the purview of decency and dignity. Threats and derogatory words are not part of the culture of Maharashtra. Issues can be resolved only through patience and dialogue.

Fadnavis’s efforts praised

The Revenue Minister appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Maratha reservation. He said that Fadnavis studied this issue day and night, took legal advice, socio-economic survey and made a law to give reservation to Maratha society. This law was also approved by the Legislative Assembly and the High Court, but later the Supreme Court rejected it.

Bawankule said, “Fadnavis had put his reputation at stake for the Maratha society.”

The minister also clarified that the Mahayuti government is fully committed to providing justice to the Maratha society. “Our government is not weak, but strong. Whatever justice has to be given to the Maratha society, it will definitely give our government. The government was with the Maratha society and will always be together.”

Mumbai march will be Jarage

Manoj Jarang has announced that he will leave his native village in Jalna district for Mumbai on Wednesday. They are demanding that all the Marathas be given the status of Kunbi (agro -based OBC caste), so that they can get the benefit of reservation. Despite all the efforts of the government, Jarang has made it clear that he will not back down from his decision.
