The 70th Filmfare Awards were held in Ahmedabad on Saturday. Which was hosted by Shahrukh Khan along with filmmakers Karan Johar and Manish Paul. This time ‘Missing Ladies’, ‘Kill’ dominated Filmfare. Both the films won awards in many categories. While Alia Bhatt won the title of Best Actress, Abhishek Bachchan and Kartik Aryan became the Best Actor.

Chandu champion: The sports drama ‘Chandu Champion’ in the year 2024 is based on the life of Padm Shri Muralikant Petkar, who was India’s first gold medalist in the Paralympics. Petkar had won the country by winning the gold medal in the 50m freestyle competition in Summer Paralympics held in 1972 in West Germany. At the same time, Karthik Aryan played the lead role in the film ‘Chandu Champion’ on Petkar. The film was directed by Kabir Khan. But do you know that Karthik was not the first choice of the makers for Chandu Champion.

Chandu Champion was not going to do Karthik Sushant
Bhuvan Arora, who played the role of Muralikant’s friend Karnail Singh in ‘Chandu Champion’ recently in an interview, revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput had bought the rights to make a biopic of Petkar before the shocking death of the actor in 2020. Talking to Hindi Rush, Bhuvan said, “I was a film Chandu Champion. First Sushant was about to do it. He had the rights of that film. The rights of the story were also with Sushant. Used to talk to each other, we discussed the film. ”

How did Karthik Aryan get Chandu Champion
The fake actor further said, “Obviously, it got out of my mind. Recently, when Chandu Champion was released, I saw an interview of Muralikant sir, in which he said that Sushant was going to do this film initially. I do not know its details, but ironically I was not in that film at that time.” SAL died in 2020. After the death of the actor, Karthik Aryan did Chandu Champion.

Chandu champion failed at the box office
