In view of this, some changes have been made in this AI chatbot. OpenAI has announced that advice related to medical, finance and legal issues will no longer be available on ChatGPT. According to reports, from October 29, ChatGPT has stopped providing specific guidance regarding treatment, legal matters and money. Now this chatbot is no longer a consultant but just an educational tool.

What will change now?

After the new rules, ChatGPT will not provide users with medicine names, their quantities, lawsuit templates, legal strategies and investment advice. Now it will only provide information on general principles, basic mechanisms and advise people to consult professionals like doctors, lawyers and financial advisors.

Why is this change being made?

For some time now, many such cases have been coming to light, when people have caused harm to themselves by following the advice given by ChatGPT. A similar case came to light in August, when a 60-year-old man, after taking advice from ChatGPT, started consuming sodium bromide instead of salt. Due to this he started having mental problems, after which he was admitted to the hospital. Similarly, in another case, a 37-year-old American man was having trouble swallowing food. When he asked ChatGPT about this, the chatbot told him that it is very difficult for this to happen due to cancer. The person became satisfied with this and did not contact the doctor in time. Later, when the cancer reached the fourth stage, he went to the doctor.

According to media reports, the latest feature is named Kelpico or Kelpico Rooms and has been seen in the beta version of ChatGPT for Android. One such feature is found in OpenAI’s Sora app available on iPhone, where users can direct message each other to discuss video projects. If this feature comes in ChatGPT, then it will not remain just an AI assistant but will become a collaborative workspace for creators, professionals and developers.

Apart from direct messages, the option to create a group chat can also be found in this feature. However, no information has been received yet whether the messages sent on this chatbot will be end-to-end encrypted or not. End-to-end encryption is available on apps like WhatsApp, Signal and Telegram, which is important for user trust.

Just a few days ago, the company had introduced the Apps SDK, which allows developers to create custom AI-powered apps in ChatGPT itself.
