A major accident took place in Chembur area of ​​Mumbai on Wednesday morning. Suddenly a big tree fell on the bus carrying students to school. One child has died in this accident, while 10 children are reported to be injured. The injured children have been admitted to the hospital.

There was traffic congestion in the morning on Road No. 11 in Chembur area. The Universal High School bus was picking up children. Then due to strong wind the old tree fell on the bus. The upper part of the bus has been heavily damaged.

Injured were taken to hospital

As soon as the information was received, fire brigade personnel, police, 108 ambulance and BMC ward staff reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. A rescue operation was conducted to rescue the trapped child. The injured children have been admitted to the nearest hospital, where their treatment is ongoing. Most of the children are said to be between 8 and 14 years old.

Local people said that many old trees in the area are in dangerous condition. This incident has spread panic in the area. Mumbai Police and BMC teams have reached the spot and are investigating.

MP Rahul Shewale says that a child has died in the accident. He told that at 2:50 pm, a tree fell on the school bus of Universal School, Tilak Nagar on Road No. 11, Chembur, Mumbai, in which a child died. All other students present in the bus were taken out safely. Four injured students are undergoing treatment at Jain Hospital.
