The Uttar Pradesh government has started a big campaign to reconnect 4.92 lakh children with school and provide them the benefits of DBT. About 4.92 lakh such children have been identified in Uttar Pradesh, whose age is between 6 to 14 years, but they have not yet got the benefit of DBT i.e. Direct Benefit Transfer. The reason is that these children are either not enrolled in school or have left their studies midway. That is why the government is now running a big campaign across the state, so that no child is deprived of government benefits.

The government has specifically used the “Zero Poverty Portal” to identify these children. From here, it was revealed that the bank accounts of the families of many children are either not seeded or the documents of the children are not complete, hence the DBT money could not reach their accounts.

Why is this campaign special?

There were thousands of such children in the state who were left out of the benefits. Now for the first time, they have been directly identified. This is not just a campaign to give money to DBT but it is a big mission to connect those children to school again. The government wants that no child should stay away from studies due to financial or lack of documents. By fixing the direct responsibility of DM and BSA, the pace of work will speed up and accountability will also increase.

Children will get DBT on time for uniforms, bags, shoes, socks, sweaters and stationery. Children who have dropped out of school will join studies again. The burden on poor families will reduce because the government will bear a major part of the school-related expenses. In the future, both enrollment and attendance of children will increase. • Preparing an accurate list of all such children in the district.
• Form a team and get verification done in every village and locality.
• Enrolling children in nearby government schools.

Now the process of making Aadhaar card of new born has also been started in Bihar. This scheme is being started in more than one lakh Anganwadi centers of the state. So that identification of children can be ensured immediately after birth. The purpose of this process is that children can get the benefits of all the schemes of the Central and State Government on time and directly in their names. Whereas earlier Aadhaar card was made only after completion of 1 year of age, now Aadhaar card will be made within 1 month of the birth of the children. • To get Aadhaar card for new born baby, first go to the official website of UIDAI.
• After this, go to My Aadhaar section and click on Book an Appointment.
• Now enter the city name and mobile number and verify with OTP.
• After this select the date and time for Aadhar Seva Kendra
• Now biometric verification of mother or father will have to be done.
• After verification, submit the child’s birth certificate and other documents.
• After completion of the process, Baal Aadhaar will be sent to your home address or you can also download it from UIDAI website.

offline method

• To get children’s Aadhaar card made offline, go to the nearby Aadhaar Enrollment Center.
• After this fill the application form and submit the necessary documents.
• After application, you will get Acknowledgment Slip, through which you can track the status.
• Whereas Bala Aadhaar usually reaches home within 60 to 90 days.
