This fear sets in the minds of people as soon as they hear the name of cancer. Especially when it comes to children, the worry increases further. Many times this question arises in the minds of parents whether cancer can spread from one person to another like any infection or can this disease reach children from birth. Actually, in case of serious diseases like AIDS, it is common for the infection to spread, but can this happen with cancer also?

There are many misconceptions and fears in the minds of people regarding this question. In such a situation, let us tell you today whether cancer can also spread in children like AIDS and what experts say about it.

Is cancer an infectious disease?

According to experts, cancer is not an infectious disease in any way. That means this disease neither spreads by touching, nor by living together, nor by eating food together, nor by air. Cancer occurs when the DNA of body cells changes and they start growing uncontrollably. This process happens inside the body and has nothing to do with coming in contact with another person. This is the reason why cancer is not considered a disease that spreads like flu or other infections.

Why is cancer linked to AIDS?

AIDS i.e. HIV disease is not directly cancer, but it weakens the immune system of the body. When the body’s immune system becomes weak, the body cannot fight the cells properly. In such a situation, the risk of certain types of cancer increases in children suffering from HIV or AIDS. Among which non-Hodgkin lymphoma is considered to be the most prominent. This is called AIDS related lymphoma. This cancer starts in the white blood cells of the lymphatic system i.e. lymph system.

How does AIDS-related lymphoma develop in children?

Actually, this disease is seen in children when they get HIV infection at the time of birth or during feeding and antivirus medicines are not given on time. At the same time, HIV virus attacks the body’s defense system, due to which the risk of infection and cancer increases manifold. In such children, rapidly growing cancer can develop in the lymph nodes, brain, spinal cord or other parts of the body.

What advice do experts give?

Experts say that it is very important to remove the misconceptions spread in the society regarding cancer. Keeping distance from cancer patients is not only wrong but also has a negative impact on their mental health. In the case of children, if there is a risk of HIV or any serious disease, then timely testing and proper treatment is very important.

Cow’s milk is rich in nutrients and most people consider it healthy. But a question has been arising for many years. Can the protein present in cow’s milk increase the risk of type-1 diabetes in young children? Some research has expressed this possibility, while no concrete evidence was found in many studies.

Dr. Gulnaz Sheikh, Chief Dietician of Kims Hospital, Thane, told the media that, “Some research suggests that the protein of cow’s milk can activate the immune system in some children in such a way that he accidentally attacks the cells that make insulin. But the research is not completely clear yet.”

How can the protein of cow’s milk affect the body?

Cow milk mainly contains two types of proteins. Conscience and WHE. These are safe for most people. But those who have special genetic traits or whose immune system is more sensitive, these proteins can cause immune reaction. In type-1 diabetes, the body’s immune system destroys the cells that make insulin of the pancreas. There can be many reasons for this. Such as Perry History, Environment, or viral infection. Some experts believe that giving cow’s milk or protein to very young children quickly, some children can work as a trigger in some children.

What should be kept in mind?

This danger is more important for those children who are given cow’s milk or milk-based formula before the stomach and immune system is fully developed. According to Dr. Sheikh, “That is why it is advisable to give mother’s milk for the first six months. It can reduce the risk of many health problems and strengthen the child’s immunity.”

For older children and adults

In older children and adults, if milk is consumed in balanced amounts, then it is not at risk of type-1 diabetes. Unless they have allergies from milk or lactose intensity.

How much milk can be more?

There is no fixed limit of protein of cow’s milk. It depends on every person. It is generally safe for healthy adults to take one or two glasses of milk (or in the same amount of yogurt or cheese) a day. Drinking too much milk will not do many big glasses of diabetes every day, but can do other damage like weight gain, stomach problems, or more saturated fat in diet. Cow’s milk is still healthy for most children and adults, as it contains calcium, protein, vitamins and other nutrients. But like everything, it is right to take it in balanced quantity. Parents should take care of when and how children are being given milk, especially in the early months of life.

Children health in changing weather: Five minutes ago, there was strong sunlight and now rain! This game of weather has worried people. Because the health of children is first affected with the changing weather and what can be a big tension for a mother and what can be more than that the child falls ill? So it is important to take special care of children in this ‘ever sunny rain’ season. Let’s know some easy and effective tips, from which you can save your children from this season.

Read these also- CORONA cases are increasing rapidly, does one lakh cases get lockdown?

Change children’s clothes according to the weather

In the changing season, children should neither stay in hot clothes nor completely lightly. Wear cotton clothes, along with a light jacket or shawl, which can be useful as soon as the temperature is low.

Avoid getting wet in rain

The wetness of children is common when the rain comes suddenly. Therefore, while going to school or out, give them a raincoat and umbrella. Immediately change clothes when wet and give them warm soup or light warm water.

Immunity

In this season, the immunity of children becomes weak, so include turmeric milk, basil-ginger tea and vitamin C fruits like oranges, amla.

Hand and hand clean

Due to rain and moisture, bacteria spread rapidly. After coming from outside, make a habit of washing hands and feet and cut the nails from time to time.

Adequate sleep and comfort is also necessary

Good sleep and adequate relaxation helps to increase children’s immunity. Try to sleep on time and their screen time is limited.

Keep the house clean and dry

Mosquitoes and germs thrive with moisture and dirt. Clean children’s play, bed and toys daily. Wipe the floor with phenyl or detol water.

Regardless of the weather patterns, if some caution and care is taken, then children can be kept away from diseases. The health of children’s health is hidden in their diet, cleanliness and your vigilance.
