If Trump implements his tariff threats, Apple, NVidia and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (Tsmc) Companies like which have promised significant investment in American investment, this exemption can benefit from this exemption. The purpose of this measure is to motivate international technical companies to establish or expand manufacturing functions in the United States and thus reduce dependence on foreign supply chains.

Apple discounts in American chip construction

Trump said that due to increasing investment in production in the US, Apple may get the benefit of this exemption in American chip manufacturing. US President Trump said, “The good news for companies like Apple is that if you are constructing in the US or committed to construction in the US without any question, there will be no duty.” 100 percent tariffs will apply to all imported semiconductors and chips, which will affect major suppliers in Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore.

Apple’s contribution to American chip construction

In addition to an investment of Apple $ 100 billion in US chip and $ 165 billion of TSMC, Nvidia and Globalfoundry have also promised to manufacture some of their products in the US. The US government has implemented 25 percent import duty on Indian goods from 7 August. In addition, US President Trump threatened India to increase additional 25 percent tariff from August 27, citing the purchase of crude oil and military equipment from Russia.
