A court in Chittagong, Bangladesh has granted bail to Hindu saint Chinmoy Krishna Das in a case. This decision was given by Judicial Magistrate Sakhawat Hussain on Thursday. However, due to many other serious cases registered against him, he will not be able to come out of jail right now and will remain in police custody.

The case in which he has got bail is for the year 2023. This case was registered by former minister Mir Mohammad Nasir Uddin. It is alleged that an incident of land grabbing, intimidation and assault had taken place in Hathazari area of ​​Chittagong. A total of six people including Chinmoy Krishna Das were made accused in this case. His lawyer Apoorva Kumar Bhattacharya told that the court has given him relief in this case.

Chinmay Das’s troubles are not over

Chinmay Das’s troubles are not over yet, because there are more serious allegations against him. On 26 November 2024, violence broke out during the hearing in a treason case. During this time, lawyer Saiful Islam was brutally murdered. After this incident, his father had filed a murder case against 31 people. In this case, the police had filed the charge sheet on July 1 itself. Police say that the lawyer was murdered on the instigation and instructions of Chinmoy Krishna Das. On August 25, the court had accepted this charge sheet and the case is going on against a total of 39 people. At present this case is going on in the court and testimony of witnesses is being taken. Therefore, despite getting bail in a case, Chinmay Krishna Das will still have to remain in jail.
