Thanks to these 10 sixes, Vaibhav Suryavanshi took his total number of sixes in IPL 2026 to 53. With this, he has become the first Indian batsman to hit 50 or more sixes in a season of IPL. He also broke Andre Russell’s record in this matter. Russell had hit 52 sixes in IPL 2019, but now Vaibhav has overtaken him with 53 sixes. At present, only Chris Gayle is ahead of him in this list, who had hit 59 sixes in 2012.

Looking at the form in which Vaibhav is batting, it seems that Chris Gayle’s record of 59 sixes can also be broken.
