On the first day of the Oval Test, Chris Woakes was injured while stopping a boundary. He could not return to the field on the first day and before the beginning of the second day, ECB announced that the Vox has been dropped from the fifth Test.

Under the ICC’s Substitute Rules, England team can replace the 11th fielder in the field during fielding.
