There are plenty of holidays in the month of December

In the month of December, RBI has announced bank holidays in different states due to many regional festivals and special occasions. Banks will remain closed in Arunachal Pradesh due to the celebration of Indigenous Faith Day on 1st December.

After this, banking services will remain closed in Goa on 3 December on the occasion of St. Francis Xavier. Whereas on 12th December, due to Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma Day, closure of banks has been announced in Meghalaya. If you live in these states, you should avoid going to the bank on this day.

Bank holidays are going to come in many states in the middle of December also. Banks will remain closed in Chhattisgarh on December 18 due to Guru Ghasidas Jayanti and in Meghalaya on the death anniversary of U Soso Tham. After this, due to Liberation Day on 19th December, banking services will also be disrupted in Goa.

Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya and Mizoram on 24th December due to Christmas, while on 25th December, bank holiday has been declared in most of the states of the country due to Christmas.

Christmas holiday

Banks will not open in Meghalaya, Mizoram and Telangana on 26th December due to Christmas, and there will be a bank holiday in Haryana on this day due to Shaheed Udham Singh Jayanti. Banks will remain closed in Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh on 27th December on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti.

At the same time, banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on U Kiang Nangbah Day on 30th December and Sikkim on the occasion of Tamu Losar. Banks will remain closed in Mizoram and Manipur on 31st December due to New Year.
