American technology company Google has reported that it is working on merging the Chrome OS in Android. This will make these single unified platforms. For the past few months, it was speculated that Chrome OS and Android could be brought together. It has been confirmed by the company.

Google’s President, Sameer Samat has recently stated in an interview that Chrome OS will not have a standalone operating system. This can lead to the upcoming Chromebooks and Tablets on an Android-Based platform. This will give users better experience in these devices. Chrome OS already shares Linux Kernel and components of Android. Google plans to make it more advanced. This will give users optimized Android Experience for desktop. This will support more features like Linux apps, browser expansions and multi-window UI.

The merger of Chrome OS and Android will benefit users on smartphones, laptops and tablets and better ecosystem than before. Google plans to bring Android’s desktop mode.
