A big good news has emerged for the youth preparing for government jobs. Coal India Limited has issued a notification for recruitment to 660 posts of Management Trainee (MT). This recruitment will be done in various technical and non-technical disciplines. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online between the due dates. A total of 660 posts will be appointed under this recruitment. The application process will start from 12th May 2026 and will continue till 11th June 2026.

In this recruitment issued by Coal India, posts have been earmarked for different branches. These include fields like Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, IT, Electronics, Geology, Industrial Engineering, Hindi (Official Language) and Company Secretary. Maximum posts have been kept in Electrical and Civil Engineering, due to which this is a great opportunity for engineering candidates.

Ability
To apply for this recruitment, the candidate must have an engineering degree or postgraduation in the relevant subject. A minimum of 60% marks is mandatory for most posts, while some relaxation is given to reserved category candidates. All degrees must be from recognized institutions and obtained through regular (full-time) courses.

age limit
The maximum age of the candidate has been fixed at 30 years. However, OBC category has been given a relaxation of 3 years and SC/ST category has been given a relaxation of 5 years. PwBD candidates may get even more age relaxation. As per government rules, other categories will also be given exemption.

application fee
Talking about the application fee, the application fee for General, OBC and EWS category candidates has been kept at Rs 1180, which also includes GST. Whereas SC/ST and PwBD category candidates have been exempted from the application fee.

selection process
Candidates in this recruitment will be selected only through Computer Based Examination (CBT). There will be two papers in the examination, the first will be based on General Knowledge, Reasoning, English and Numerical Ability, while the second paper will have questions related to the concerned subject (discipline). Both the papers will be conducted on the same day in 3 hours and there will be no negative marking.

salary
Candidates selected in this recruitment will get a salary of Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,80,000 under E-1 grade. The initial basic pay will be Rs 60,000 per month. Apart from this, DA, HRA, medical facilities, pension, gratuity and many other allowances will also be given.
