Claude Mythos in India: Anthropic’s Claude Mythos model, which has created a stir in the world of cyber security, is now ready to enter India. Some organizations of India are going to get access to it. In fact, American company Anthropic had recently said that it will give access to this model to more organizations, governments, cyber security agencies. Let us tell you that this model is considered very powerful and it can hack any operating system and software in a jiffy. Therefore it has not been launched for the public yet.

150 new organizations will get access to Claude Mythos

Anthropic said that it is going to give access to this model to about 150 new organizations. With this the total number of these organizations will reach 200. Earlier the company was testing this model only with some companies of America and UK. It is being tested with companies related to financial services, cyber security, technology, healthcare, communication, power, water and hardware sectors.

Now these countries got access

Apart from America and UK, Anthropic has given access to this model to organizations in countries like India, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, Japan and South Korea. The company has not given any information as to which organizations in these countries will now be able to access this model.

Mythos has found thousands of bugs in essential software

Anthropic recently reported that Claude Mythos has discovered more than 10,000 cyber security vulnerabilities in the world’s most important software in a month. Many companies with access to this model have said that Mythos has increased the speed of detecting defects 10 times. Now companies like Google and OpenAI have also brought such cyber security models.

Model like Mythos is going to be available for public

Claude Mythos has not been launched for the public yet. Anthropic said that so far no company, including itself, has any way to prevent misuse of such models. Meanwhile, the company will roll out another model like this model for the public. There are speculations that it can be launched in the next few weeks.

Claude Mythos Threats: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a high-level meeting with the heads of public and private sector banks on Thursday. During this, he talked about Anthropic’s Claude Mythos model and its potential cyber security risks. Claude Mythos is claimed to be the most advanced AI model in terms of cyber security.

The Finance Ministry’s official account on Twitter said that Nirmala Sitharaman warned stakeholders about the possible impact of Claude Mythos. The post said that Mythos faces several unprecedented threats, which require a very high level of vigilance, readiness and better coordination between financial institutions and banks.

What is the Claude Mythos?

This is the most powerful AI model ever created by a company named Anthropic. According to the company, this model is so adept in cyber security that it is being kept out of the reach of common people. The company says that Mythos is expert in finding and removing such small flaws or cracks related to cyber security in the banking system, which are beyond human control.

In the 1990s, when the Internet and operating systems were being developed, not much attention was paid to security. Now these flaws are buried inside the old code, which Mythos AI can remove. It is capable of deep investigation into old operating systems or web browsers. Anthropic has said that making it available on a large scale would be like putting advanced hacking capabilities in the hands of anyone with a laptop.

What are its dangers?

As a result, Anthropic has limited access to the Claude Mythos to only a select group of about 40 companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. However, according to reports, an unauthorized group of users had gained access to Mythos, which may have given them the opportunity to exploit cybersecurity flaws.

In such a situation, the government told the banks to make their walls so strong that if there is an attack or something suspicious is seen, it can be immediately informed to other banks. The Finance Minister also says that this AI model can be used to steal money from banks or obtain personal information of customers.

The Government of India is not the only organization which is keeping an eye on Mythos. According to reports, the US government has also held talks with various Wall Street banks to take similar measures. The White House is also possibly planning to use Mythos to strengthen cybersecurity across its various agencies.
