Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Uttarakhand has demanded strict action from the state government and administration to protect the religious dignity and eternal traditions of the sacred Ganga ghats of Haridwar and Rishikesh and the Kumbh Mela area. The Council has clearly said that the Ganga Ghats are not just bathing or tourist places, but they are the living heritage of Indian Sanatan culture, faith and spiritual practice, whose history is linked to the concepts of penance, sacrifice, charity and salvation for thousands of years.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad says that under the provisions of the 110-year-old rules of the Haridwar Municipality, made in the years 1916 and 1953, there is a clear ban on the entry of non-Hindus on the holy ghats of the Ganga, including Har Ki Paidi. The Council said that this is not a new or arbitrary demand, but there are rules made to protect the religious traditions and cultural norms that have been prevalent in the past, which should be ensured to be followed.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad demands from the government

VHP state president Ravidev Anand said that Kumbh Mela is not just an event, but a great festival of collective consciousness and faith of the Hindu society. Purity, restraint and religious discipline are paramount during Kumbh.

He alleged that in the last few years, incidents of consumption of meat, liquor and other unholy activities have come to light in the Ganga Ghats and surrounding areas, which has deeply hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindu society. To protect the purity of Ganga, the dignity of Kumbh and to protect the eternal culture, it is necessary that the rules related to religious decorum be strictly followed.

Kumbh Mela area and ghats should be declared sacred areas.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad has demanded that the Kumbh Mela area and all the sacred Ganga ghats be duly declared as “religious decorum area”. Also, historical rules related to entry of non-Hindus should be strictly implemented and complete ban on meat, liquor and other unholy activities should be ensured.

VHP’s state campaign chief Pankaj Chauhan said that this issue is not about opposing any community, but is related to protecting the faith, tradition and cultural identity of the Hindu society. He appealed to the state government and administration to respect the public sentiments and implement a uniform system on all the Ganga ghats, so that there is no laxity or discrimination and the dignity of the Sanatan traditions is maintained.

If you are preparing to visit Uttarakhand then now it is going to become more expensive for you. Because, the state government is preparing to impose green cess tax on vehicles coming from other states. This tax can start from the second week of December. Under this, vehicles coming from other states will have to pay green sense tax. This tax will be automatically deducted from the fast tags of vehicles coming from other states.

Uttarakhand’s Additional Transport Commissioner SK Singh said that the entire process of collecting this green cess tax will be done through ANPR cameras. These vehicles have been placed in different categories, according to which the rates of green cess tax have also been fixed. If a vehicle enters the state twice in a day, this tax will not be collected the second time.

These vehicles will have to pay this much tax

According to the Transport Department, Rs 80 will be charged as green cess tax on four wheelers. Whereas green sense tax will be levied at Rs 250 per day on delivery vans, Rs 120 per day on heavy vehicles, Rs 140 on buses and Rs 140 to 700 on trucks depending on its size. This tax will be valid for 24 hours. According to the department, this will generate revenue of around Rs 100-150 crore to the state government every year.

Many vehicles have also been kept separate from the scope of this tax. This green cess tax will not be imposed on two-wheelers coming from other states. Electric and CNG vehicles have also been exempted. Whereas government vehicles, fire brigade vehicles, ambulances etc. will also not have to pay this tax. Earlier it was scheduled to start from December 1, but due to some technical reasons it may get delayed.

ANPR cameras will keep an eye on

According to the Transport Department, this entire process will be state-of-the-art and transparent. This work will be handled by a private company. This company has marked 16 points on the borders of Uttarakhand. ANPR cameras i.e. Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras have been installed at these places. These cameras will identify vehicles from other states and automatic tax will be deducted through Fast Tag.

The state government says that the revenue that will be received from this tax. It will be used for air pollution control, road safety and urban transport improvement in the state. Which will also help the state in doing other development work.

With the aim of promoting environmental protection and pollution control in Uttarakhand, the state government has decided to impose green tax on vehicles coming from outside states. According to Transport Department officials, this system will be implemented from the month of December. The purpose of this tax is to ensure cleanliness, environmental balance and control of pollution in the state.

State Additional Transport Commissioner Sanat Kumar Singh said that Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras have been installed on the state borders, which will automatically record the numbers of incoming vehicles. Earlier, 16 cameras were installed, now their number has been increased to 37 so that the data of all vehicles passing through the borders can be accurately recorded.

Responsibility of tax collection to private company

The Transport Commissioner said that the Transport Department has authorized a private company for tax collection. The data received through cameras will be sent to this company through software. From there this data will be sorted so that it can be clear which vehicles are Uttarakhand registered, which are government and which are two-wheelers because these will not be taxed.

After this the related information will be sent to the database of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). From there the wallet numbers of the vehicle owners will be searched, and the prescribed amount will be automatically deducted and deposited in the account of Uttarakhand Transport Department.

What will be the rates of green tax?

Green tax rates have been fixed according to the category of vehicle. Under this, tax of Rs 80 will be levied on small vehicles, Rs 250 on small goods vehicles, Rs 140 on buses and Rs 120 to Rs 700 on trucks depending on their weight.

According to officials, this system will be completely automatic and transparent, due to which there will be no scope for any kind of irregularity. The state government hopes that this will not only increase revenue but will also help in maintaining environmental balance.

Important steps for environmental protection

This step of the Uttarakhand government is being considered an important effort towards creating a balance between tourism and environmental protection, because lakhs of vehicles enter the state every year from outside, due to which the pollution level increases. This green tax, which will be implemented from December, is a concrete solution to deal with this challenge.

At the same time, some people believe that it can have an impact on tourism. Imposing green tax on vehicles will reduce tourism activities, but officials and information regarding this believe that this will not happen because the rates are very low and it will not have any impact on tourism activities.

UP Weather: Cold is going to increase in UP, rain alert for next four days, Badra will rain on Chhath Puja

Uttarakhand graduate level examination was held on 21st September. In which the students had started the movement after the paper leak, on the demand of the students, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had ordered an investigation into the entire matter. Today, the state government has taken a big decision and canceled the examination.

The agitating students have thanked the government after hearing the news of cancellation of exams. While issuing the statement, Chief Minister Dhami said that for our government, our students and youth are first, we are serious about their future.

What was the whole matter?

Let us tell you that on September 21, UKSSSC had conducted the graduation level examination, three pages of which were out through WhatsApp only after half an hour of the commencement of the examination. In this, a person named Khalid Malik had sent his papers to Assistant Professor Suman, Khalid’s sister Sabia was also involved. At present Khalid and his sister Sabia are in judicial custody.

Movement had started across the state

After this the movement started across the state. For a long time, people of the unemployed organization were sitting on strike outside the Parade Ground in Dehradun. Then Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the protest site to meet the students after about 8 days and asked them to create a culture of CBI investigation. After this, the state government had written to the central government for a CBI investigation. The second demand of the students was that this examination should be canceled and its roster should be re-released. By issuing orders in this matter today, this examination has been cancelled.

Students expressed happiness

Now the investigation of this case has been handed over to CBI. At present, happiness is being seen among the students who are protesting after the cancellation of this examination. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has once again said that for me the youth of the state are first. Even if I have to give my life for them, I can give it.
