Discussions intensify regarding OBC vote bank

For the first time after Pankaj Chaudhary became the UP state president, speculations have intensified in political circles regarding this meeting with Keshav Prasad Maurya. In the special intensive revision process of voter list in Uttar Pradesh, names of 2.89 crore voters have been deleted. In this list, the districts where names of a large number of voters have been deleted include Muslim dominated districts including Saharanpur, where 15-19 percent votes have been deleted. After the release of the draft list of SIR in UP, such allegations are being made that the names of a large number of voters in Muslim dominated areas have been removed from the voter list. Votes have decreased by 15 to 19 percent in the five major Muslim dominated districts of the state, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur and Sambhal. These are the districts where Muslim population is 40–50 percent and they play an important role in elections.
