Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Toolen Bridge built on the water body in the Planetarium area on Tuesday (May 5) afternoon. The Chief Minister dedicated this bridge, built at a cost of Rs 14.33 crore, to the public by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the stone slab by pressing the button.

In the stage program after inspecting the bridge, the Chief Minister discussed the changes brought about by development in Gorakhpur and said that before 2017, the image of Gorakhpur was about lack of security. People were troubled by mafia and mosquitoes.

CM further said that people were scared after hearing the name of Gorakhpur. No one came to invest. The youth here were dependent on their identity; to get a job, they had to wander and hide their identity. But today he does not have to wander nor hide his identity.

Gorakhpur is also making rapid progress – CM Yogi

CM said that at present more than 50 thousand youth have got jobs and employment through industries in Gida of Gorakhpur alone. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that along with the rapidly progressing country and state, Gorakhpur is also making rapid progress.

After 2017, a wide range of development has taken place in Gorakhpur. To ensure that the benefits of increased facilities from development continue for a long time, citizens will also have to take the responsibility of protecting the development works.

‘People are surprised and happy after seeing Gorakhpur’

The Chief Minister said that whoever comes to Gorakhpur today is surprised and happy to see the change here. There is fourlane-sixlane connectivity all around in Gorakhpur. AIIMS has been built here. The fertilizer factory and the sugar mill in Pipraich have started functioning again.

Many facilities including excellent educational institutions, AYUSH University, zoo, excellent tourist destination Ramgarhtal, many hotels have expanded here. He said that the development of Gorakhpur is the result of work done in the spirit of community. It is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that no one causes any damage to development works and facilities.

Planetarium area becomes symbol of prosperity

CM Yogi said that about twenty years ago people did not have the courage to live in the planetarium area. People were fleeing from here after the flood of 1998. Here on one side there was the filth of Ramgarhtal and on the other side there was lack of basic facilities. But today, due to development, the most expensive land is in this area. He said that with the construction of Toulon Bridge on the water body, the internal connectivity in this entire area will be further strengthened.

The Chief Minister said that this area is being considered as the most posh colony as a symbol of prosperity. Ramgarhtal has become a great center of tourism in this area, the zoo is in this area. A convention center is being built here, the planetarium is being renovated, a science park is being built. Besides, the water body is also being systematically beautified.

CM asked GDA officers to try to connect the water body at par with Ramgarhtal. Water should be seen flowing in this water body where people can also enjoy boating. People can come with their families and children can play on the banks of the water body. He called for healthy competition at the locality level regarding cleanliness and beauty.

Gorakhpur is presenting an example under the leadership of CM Yogi- Ravikishan

In the program, MP Ravikishan Shukla said that Gorakhpur is setting an example under the guidance and leadership of CM Yogi. He has given projects worth crores of rupees to make Gorakhpur developed, clean and beautiful. MP Ravikishan described Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s rallies as effective for BJP’s spectacular victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections and congratulated him for this. CM Yogi took photo with laborers

After inaugurating the bridge built on the water body in the Planetarium area, when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was inspecting the bridge, his eyes fell on the laborers standing on the banks. The Chief Minister called him to himself and took a photo with him while respecting the labor force. The workers looked very happy after getting the company of CM. In the inauguration program of the bridge, the Chief Minister also met the children and showered love and affection on them.

Bridge connects two parts

With the construction of Toolen Bridge over the water body situated between Vasundhara Enclave II and III of the planetarium area, the divided planetarium area has been connected to each other. Gorakhpur Development Authority has also built 1.5 meter wide footpath on both sides of this 112 meter long bridge.

Before the construction of this bridge, one had to travel a longer route to reach Amravati Nikunj, Vasundhara Phase 1, 2 and 3, Siddharth Enclave, Siddharth Enclave Extension, Siddharthpuram, Siddharthpuram Extension, Siddharth Vihar, Gautam Vihar, Buddha Vihar, Buddha Vihar Commercial, Buddha Vihar Part A, B and C, Lake View, Vaishali and other major places. Now their route has become shorter through this Toulon Bridge. With this bridge becoming functional, there will be relief from the frequent traffic jams on Naya Savera.
