Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has been killed in US-Israeli attacks. Meanwhile, Iran has also announced the name of its new Commander-in-Chief. Ahmed Wahidi has been given the new responsibility of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). On 31 December 2025, Wahidi was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief.

Wahidi was the first commander of the Quds Force from 1988-1998. This is the branch of IRGC which is considered responsible for military and intelligence operations outside Iran. Apart from this, Vahidi has also been the Defense Minister from 2009-2013. He was also a member of the Expediency Discrimination Council and Chairman of the Supreme National Defense University.

Wahidi in Interpol’s red notice list
Let us tell you that due to his alleged involvement in the bomb blast at the Jewish Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1994, Vahidi is on the Red Notice list of Interpol. 85 people were killed in this bomb blast. America and European Union have imposed many sanctions on Wahidi. The reason for the ban is believed to be their links to Iran’s nuclear program and their major role in human rights violations in the 2022 protests.

When and where was Ahmed Wahidi born?
Ahmed Vahidi was born on 27 June 1958 in Shiraz, Iran. Wahidi is a graduate in Electronics Engineering, Master in Industrial Engineering and PhD in Strategic Studies. Vahidi is considered the mastermind of Iran’s military strategy.

Ali Khamenei’s family members have also died in Israeli and American attacks. Reports have claimed that Khamenei has also lost his son-in-law and daughter-in-law in the attacks. Journalists’ Club Tehran City Council member Meisam Muzaffar has claimed that the son-in-law and daughter of Iran’s supreme leader have also been killed.

Myanmar uLFA Camp Strike: ULFA (I), an militant organization operating in Sagiing province of Myanmar bordering India, has alleged that India has made a big strike at its camp in a drone and missile strikes. ULFA alleges that many big militants including top commander Nayan Madhi have been killed in the attack. The Indian Army (Army) and the Air Force, however, have denied any such cross-border strikes.

Assam’s militant organization, United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) ie ULFA (Independent) has issued a statement accusing India of drone and missile strikes. According to the statement, the last rites of ULFA’s top commander Nayan Medhi alias Nayan Asom were going on on Sunday (July 13), while the other commander present there was killed in a missile attack.

ULFA camp is in Sagiing province of Myanmar
According to ULFA, Nayan Madhi also died in a drone strike at the camp. This camp is in Vakatham Basti of Sagiing province of Myanmar bordering India. Here the militant organization ULFA’s camp number is 779. Apart from this, a strike was carried out at ULFA’s Eastern Headquarters (Camp) in Hoyat Basti. After the extremism has been eliminated in Assam for the last one and a half decades, ULFA has made Myanmar her stronghold.

Anti-India organizations have found refugees due to loosening of army rule in Myanmar and dominance of rebels. This is the reason that organizations like ULFA and NSCN (I) have become active in the forest areas of Myanmar adjacent to India. According to unconfirmed reports, apart from ULFA camp, drone strikes have also been done at the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (I) bases. So far, information about strike has been revealed at a total of four militant camps. All these camps are mentioned in areas bordering China in Myanmar.

ULFA’s kingpin Paresh Barua missing for many years
The special thing is that for the last several years, the kingpin of ULFA Paresh Barua has also been missing and it is believed that the China-Myanmar border or Bangladesh is hidden somewhere. Recently, a Bangladesh court converted the death sentence of Paresh Barua into life imprisonment in a decade -old terrorist case. In such a situation, the conspiracy of China, Pakistan and Bangladesh was revealed behind the alive of ULFA. Last year, on the occasion of Independence Day (2024), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently charged three militants of ULFA including Paresh Barua for planting multiple IED (bomb) plant in Guwahati (Assam).

Army refused strikes
Sources in the Indian Army and Indian Air Force, however, have denied any cross border strikes in Myanmar. Myanmar has also not issued any statement regarding any such strike. In the year 2015, when the Indian Army first made such a strike in the border of Myanmar, the whole world was informed by organizing a press conference. During that time, the Special Forces (Para-SF) of the Army had piled up 60-70 militants of Cross Border Red’s NSCN (I) in Myanmar to avenge an attack on a convoy of the Indian Army.
